I bought these shoes for doing some light hiking, but after about 2 months they started to hurt my heels. Now I can't wear them at all

Disappointed: I purchased the Moab 3 because I already have a pair and they are fine. I needed a second pair so I purchased them and tried them on and they seemed to be good. Until I went on vacation and went on a hike. After two painful hikes where my foot slid around in the boot despite trying to tighten them as much as I could, I contacted Merrell. I explained the situation and they said I needed to fill out a form which I did and submitted it. It's been two months and I haven't heard a word from them. I want to know if the boots are manufactured somewhere different than they were when I purchased my first pair because they are basically a different boot. My foot hasn't changed in size but the fit of the new boot is so completely different. I am very disappointed in the boot as well as the non-response of the company. Seems they don't stand by their products. I will not be purchasing from Merrell again

I do not like these shoes. They have a very long puffy tongue and are extremely heavy and clunky.

I have my shoes for about a year. I have had several Merrell's in the past. I usually love their shoes. But I am quite disappointed with this pair. I found them very slippery on wet surfaces, and not just ice. But water too. I find that the mesh goes down too far and if I step into a puddle my feet get wet. Overall, I am not very happy with these shoes.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
Received one shoe in the size ordered (10) and a second in a size much smaller (8.5). No way they will work and very disappointed wrong item was sent

The shoes run too wide for me and the arch doesn't align with mine. I'm so so sorry.
I'd also recommend:
It's been a long time since I've bought hiking shoes. I thought Merrell would be great.

Received a USED pair when I paid full price? That's a first from Zappos. Both shoes had the lace aglets torn and worn. Are you kidding me?

pretty shoe, seemly defective lumps in the arch . Very high and painful, throughs alignment off completely in the foot, ankle, knee, hip and back. Something wrong in this design. I loved the look though and am disappointed in this odd shoe bed.

These should have been perfect: I thought I ordered the right size but by the time Merrell responded it was too late to return. I do love the Moab 3 in men's so I assume these would have been perfect if correctly sized.

Sub-standard product: I ordered the Moab 3 on May 16. On June 17th the shoe started to 'click' when I walked.. I tried to return it, but learned it's no longer eligible. $120 down the drain. I guess it's just one more reason to buy from Zappos.

I've purchased Merrell shoes for the past 20 years. These moab 3 shoes are very poor quality, the toe cap is already separating from the shoe. Ive worn them for about 2 week. I hope Merrell quality has not gone down hill as I'm very disappointed.

I've purchased MANY pairs of this model of shoe over the years and they've definitely gone down in quality. They're light weight and flimsy and have very little cushion on the sole. DO NOT RECOMMEND

I haven't had these Moab 3 for very long and they are already pulling stitches at the toe. The quality seems to keep getting worse after each pair I purchase. Also I have noticed that the heel bed is not as giving as my prior Moabs (been wearing them for years).

There's no way to sugarcoat it; these shoes are terrible. Hard, clunky, and torture for the feet, the very opposite of the Moab 2 series. Why companies have to mess with a good shoe is beyond me, but I bought a few pairs of these and needed to see a podiatrist after one use. They'll be going to the homeless shelter.

I received these shoes and as I went to try them on at home one of the pull tabs tore off. Have been a long standing customer of other Merrell models so really disappointed. Would not purchase again.

Design Changes Width at the Small Toe: I just bought a pair of these from Amazon. Though they look like venilators they are slightly different on the toe. The black rubbery piece on the toe is much smaller and there is a piece of suade that that runs a long the sides creates a bump right on top of my small toe, eliminating just enough width to make them uncomfortable. This strip of swade, used to be on top of a strip of suade that comes down from the laces. Now it is under that piece, which is also bigger and bulkier too. So sad. Been wearing these for more than 15 years and I usually buy 1 or 2 pairs a year!

Unfortunately, I give these a 1 start because they gave me plantar fasciitis. They are very stylish and I love the exterior but the soles are extremely hard (mainly the heel). It was really painful to walk for about a week so I had to buy a different pair of insoles to cushion it a bit more but they still feel rock hard when you walk in them. Hopefully someday they can redesign these to have more cushioning/shock absorption.
