I've bought several Merrell Moab hiking shoes over the years, 9-1/2 medium (except the latest pair wide due to a bunion). They give me the support and gripping soles I need for safety. The round laces are attractive, hold well, and actually outlast the shoes - but being slippery they need to be double-tied, and the laces for my latest two pairs are so short a double-tie is difficult. Please bring back the longer laces used years ago!

Size ordered (wide width 10.5) perfect. Soles grip ice well. Thickly padded.

This is a great walking/hiking shoe right out of the box. I have all sorts of foot problems - bunions, Morton's neuroma, bone spurs on the tops of my feet - and I'm able to avoid all of them when walking in this shoe. My only wish is that it was waterproof. Went for a walk in a downpour the other day and water got in at the top of the shoe. Guess I'll have to try the GoreTex version, but the reviews say that shoe is more narrow than this one.

Very comfortable shoes and will be great for the fall and through to spring. Then Ill get a summer sneaker from Merrill. I am always happy with Merrill shoes. This is the first time I have bought this kind and Im looking forward to the sneakers. I usually go for the mocs.

Nice shoes, but not a good fit for my foot. These are the same size as my other Merrells but my toes hit the end of these and the rubber bumper makes the toe box shallow, so my big toe hit the top as well. Too bad because otherwise these are great shoes with a wide toe box and a good fit in the heel.

The best place for me to get the Merrel boots that fit right is online, and I recommend using the online opportunity unless you really enjoy extensive shopping for the right shoe. Merrels have always been good shoes for me, and being able to get a wide makes all the difference. I can't give these the highest rating because I just got them, and I need to see how the 'wear' goes. Previously, my Merrel boot have all lasted well, which is why I don't hesitate to buy more Merrel shoes.

I only use Merrills. My feet are in pain most of the day/night and Merrills are the only shoe that helps me. They are expensive but I hope for a sale now and then. I have my husband wearing them and he is size 15. Now he will only wear Merrills. There is only been one time I had to send them back.and get a larger size. They are a very true to size shoe for mens and for womans. I have been wearing them for years. They are an all season shoe.

Love the colour and the look (style) but I'm not sure that I'm a fan of the lace up. They're still new though so I may grow to like it.

Excellent shoe but it is wide!!! If you have a narrow heel, this shoe will probably not work for you. I ordered both the 9 and 9.5. I need the length of the 9.5 but the width on both are very wide! I have a narrow heel. This shoe fits just like the Merrell Oakcreek. The sole matches up to the size of my foot - I determined this by removing the insert and stepping on it for a visual assessment ; however, the top and sides of this shoe is for someone with feet that have a lot of volume. I'm wearing the 9.5 around the house with Dr. Scholl's plantar fasciitis insert in hopes of taking up more room but I'm having to tie the laces so tight that it's causing pressure where it ties on the top of my ankle. I'm thinking it has to go back but will give it one more day around the house.

I bought these to replace my Merrell hikers which were wearing down after years of 2-3 mile walks. These looked exactly the same but the sizing was now US, not European. I walked an hour and found them stiff and uncomfortable. The 2nd time I got blisters. The 3rd time my back and feet hurt from how stiff they were. I went back to my old shoes. I dont remember having to break in my old Merrells. These are too painful to keep. I wish Merrell would take them back.

I purchased the Moab 3 because I already have a pair and they are fine. I needed a second pair so I purchased them and tried them on and they seemed to be good. Until I went on vacation and went on a hike. After two painful hikes where my foot slid around in the boot despite trying to tighten them as much as I could, I contacted Merrell. I explained the situation and they said I needed to fill out a form which I did and submitted it. It's been two months and I haven't heard a word from them. I want to know if the boots are manufactured somewhere different than they were when I purchased my first pair because they are basically a different boot. My foot hasn't changed in size but the fit of the new boot is so completely different. I am very disappointed in the boot as well as the non-response of the company. Seems they don't stand by their products. I will not be purchasing from Merrell again

I have been wearing Moab hikers daily at work for more than 8 years. To my disappointment, this new version, Moab 3, has a noticeably more narrow toe box than all previous wide Moabs I have worn. I end the work day with my toes aching like I spent the day in heels. I found a previous Moab version on Amazon and they are perfect.

Was happy to see a new edition of Moab 3. I have a Moab 2 Gore-Tex that I really like and wanted a cooler shoe for summer. Ordered these in brindle/tea and am pleased to say that the color is a bit darker than what it seems on the website. The mesh is a sort of greenish and the leather is smooth and taupe. The midsole is not quite as soft and responsive as I thought it might be, but is still really comfortable. Put them on and went on a 3 mile walk with zero discomfort. I have a rather narrow foot and the Moab does a really nice job of securing ones heel while providing a sufficiently wide toe box. I tried another brand recently that just found offered womens size 12 about which reviews raved. Must say that I was disappointed. Putting on my Merrells was like putting on a pair of slippers by comparison.
