Do you know how hard it is to find shoes in 5.5 wide? I'm so thrilled! Recently I endured a 21 hour travel day (ugh). My feet were comfortable the entire time.

I love these shoes!!! They provide the best comfort and support and are waterproof. I'm a social worker and do home visits and these shoes have been a godsend for me. I bought 2 pair.

The Merrell Moab 3 Waterproof Shoe is very comfortable to wear. It has good cushioning and support. This is a high quality, rugged shoe. Would purchase again. Highly recommended!

I don't normally write reviews, but these shoes are so impressive. My feet are wide in the front and narrow at the heel. Usually when I buy wide shoes, my heel isn't gripped, and my foot slides forward. Not with these shoes. They are the roomiest I've ever had in the front, yet my heel is gripped. They are such a joy to wear. I'm done with ill-fitting sneakers; I know these are hiking shoes, but they are now my new sneakers.

The Moab is my go-to for trail shoes, and this latest incarnation Moab 3 is no exception (I got these to replace my Moab 2s which are still in great shape but the insole has flattened out a bit from use). This is a solid, supportive, workhorse of a shoe. I especially like this shoe as it comes in a Wide width which I need for my flat flipper feet, they have plenty of room in the toe box with firm support around the top of the foot. I always get the waterproof version as I live in Maine and it's essential for just about any season; I can wear these all Winter with a tall sock or if the snow is deep I can slide gaiters over them. I am a Moab devotee!

Wow, these are awesome! They work well, but what surprised me was how cute they are. I'm usually a wide and between two sizes, so I went with the larger size to accommodate socks. Turned out perfect; they are extremely comfortable.

These shoes were so comfortable from the first I started to wear them. I broke my right foot and am finally out of the boot. I wear these shoes around the house and for my trips into town. I am still wearing my old pair of Merrells when walking my puppy. They are still equally comfortable. And a big plus for these new Merrells, they are so cute and stylish!

These are quality shoes. Good construction and nice looking, too. Unfortunately they were not as comfortable as my 76 year old feet demanded. Had to return.

These are great for long hikes. They are waterproof unless you walk through deep water but they dry quickly.

The waterproofing and construction make for a much warmer shoe in colder Months. I don’t need break in period but have been wearing this style for years so my foot may be just right for it.

Comfortable right out of the box. Took them on a week long trip to Joshua Tree and they gave me the support and traction I wanted. I do wish they were a bit more stylish, but I’ll pay for quality utilitarianism, for the health of my feet, over style.

These shoes run narrow, compared to the non-waterproof version. I wear 8 M in non-waterproof with plenty of room in toe box. Had to go to 8.5 W for waterproof. I need wide toe box, and 8 W were too narrow.

These fit fine, just like my non-waterproof Moabs. However, the GoreTex version of these somehow felt better on my feet -- more breathable, maybe? -- so I'm going with those.

This shoe was heavier and less flexible than the other option I ordered. But both were possible choices.
I'd also recommend:
Salomon because it is also waterproof, but is lighter and more flexible.

Comfortable and nice looking. Laces won't stay tied without double knotting them. Good traction but they hold mud and dirt in the treads. They seem durable.

These are very sturdy shoes as they should be for hiking. Unfortunately the arch support is not centered in my arch so the fit is a fail. The shoelaces also seem too short. They make work well for another but I'll be sending them back.

Wore these on the plane. Uncomfortable because they are heavy. Got off and walked on the tarmac and later across the border. They are good shoes just wouldn't fly with them.

The hiking boots surprisingly comfortable but a bit stiff (diabetes tender feet). Love the great traction and waterproof protection for my dog walking hikes. I would buy them again.

A little bit tight across the top of the foot when sliding shoe on, otherwise very comfortable. Hopefully loosens a little with time.
