I bought these in the orange color for my husband. He walks 6 miles per day on our trail in all types of weather, so the Gore-Tex is perfec for him. He was sick of the 'all mesh' running shoes wearing through where his big toe is quite soon after he bought them. These shoes have a toe guard that took that problem away. They are also comfortable from the first wearing. He really likes all aspects of these shoes!

Second pair of MQMs, they're my go to walking shoe for almost any sort of weather, I only wish the laces were a bit longer, if you lace them up properly there not much lace to tie with. I wrote to Merrill about this after my first pair and the sent me another set of laces - the same size.

This is the second pair of this particular shoe I have ordered/worn. These lace further down, permitting a narrower fit which is good for me. Lightweight and a sole that wears very well. This would be a five star shoe if there was better arch support.

Nice shoe but required a break in period that I had nor seen in my other Merrell purchases. I had to use a heal pad for the first 6weeks or I would develop a blister on the back of both heals. There was a seam about 3/4 the way up the back of the heal that was rubbing and causing the blister. After a few weeks of wear it softened up and I was able to wear with out a heal pad.

I should have sized up. A wide width may have worked better but I'm unsure if that's available. The shoe itself was comfortable and waterproof while walking miles a day on vacation in Ireland. I do feel if I had went up a a size, it would have been perfect.

I was looking for something like a cross between a gym sneaker and a hiking or approach shoe (I'm a climber), something more substantial than the previous Merrells I had, which were definitely lighter but also much more fragile--the mesh top of the shoe started fraying in no time. The MQM is exactly what I was looking for, solid and supportive, but not quite as bulky as my Moabs.

A bit stiff out of the box. Tight feeling, and feet get numb after an hour of wear. Solid yet cushiony sole. Good to dog walks. Needs some break-in time. Passed the water proof test during rainy weekend in Halifax.

These have lasted the longest out of any Merrell Sneaker/boot for me for disc golf. I got 3/4 a year out of them before the toe started to delaminate from shoe. They held their waterproofing very well and are extremely easy to clean. I'll likely order another pair. I wish they lasted as long as other brands, but they are the only ones that fit my foot well.

I love these shoes. I have to do 4 of 5 stars because they would be more comfortable in a wide size, which isn't available in this mode, but sizing up has them fitting well enough. Super versatile. These will be my go-to adventure travel shoes and local hiking when conditions don't require a bigger boot.

Love almost everything about them. Good quality. Wish the black-on-black ones were still in stock. They also have the seam of the two sides meet at the heel. I think this will decrease longevity.

Great shoe and I always love my Merrell's as they look good and are comfortable but I have two minor complaints about these:
1) The two area is a bit tight for me but if I go a size up or to a wide fit I would be swimming
2) The heel can be a bit stiff and cause a minor blister if it rubs you just the right way

These seem to be a very comfortable shoe except....the width is so tight. I have been wearing Merrells for the last 20 years and the last two pair have been painfully narrow. A person used to be able to trust the Merrell fit. I keep hoping that they will stretch a little, so I keep them but......I'm still waiting for my jungle mocs to break in after a year

These shoes were a very good out of the box fit . Breakin was a couple of weeks . I bought these for disc golfing but found that climbing zone causes slippage in the grass. The good thing these are now my daily footwear. I did find that long standing and walking on concrete fatigued my feet ... As an all over medium performance shoe this ia good shoe.

I've had many gore-tex waterproof shoes in the past and these are overall pretty good. They are comfortable, although I find I have to be careful not to overtighten them more than other shoes to avoid pressure on the top of my feet. They have a good tread and I suspect they'll be very durable. I've proved they're waterproof and the gore-tex means that they can breathe too.
I gave them 4 stars because the styling is just ok, the black/orange is great for Halloween but is a bit dull in general and they could have added a bit more to it. Also, while they are comfortable, they're stiffer than I had expected and I find that I have to adjust them more than I'd like to get them just right.

Great shoe to hike on rocky and gravel surfaces, compared to Moab Vent 2. Great shoe for hiking in the Rocky Mountains. Protects your foot from sharp rocks and very comfortable

Following the size guide and based off other merrels I went a half size up but unfortunately they don't fit and are very tight for me. Really like the colour and materials, they seem well built but can't wear them.

I have somewhat wide feet but I've never felt the need to wear W shoes. When I first tried these on they felt good. After about an hour they started to feel uncomfortable on the outside edges. I tried a couple more times with the thinnest socks I have and same situation. Since they were now "worn" I kept trying to make them work to no avail. Disappointed because I really like the shoe otherwise. I should have exchanged right away instead of hoping they would work out.

this model has design issue. the front is too narrow. i had to return size 11 which is my normal size and go for 11.5, however, the back of the heel is too low so it feels loose.

Nice shoes but not the fit and comfort level I've come to expect from Merrell. They're very rigid and have caused sore areas on the outer side of both my feet. Very disappointing.

These shoes are lightweight, the reason I purchased them. However, they seem to be set up for minor rock climbing which I don't plan to be doing. They have a great, grippy sole with a toe section that looks good for grabbing edges. To go along with this, the toe box is narrower so the shoe becomes part of the foot. For general hiking on trails and around town I prefer a looser fit in the toe box. So nothing wrong with the shoe, they just did not fit my needs. But they were lightweight. I also bought a pair of Flights which I kept and will be my primary shoe while exploring Sicily.
