Boots are able to accommodate my custom orthotic inserts and are lightweight, supportive, and provide protection from the elements and soggy terrain in the Pacific Northwest.

There are only a few of the major hiking boot manufacturers that offer a true 2E width option, and the Moab's are one of them. I have metatarsal problems so I need both a wide fit and a stiff sole. I've found it hard to get the perfect fit in a day hiker for this issue but the Moab's have easily been the best so far.

Third pair of Merrell hiking boots. They have always felt broken in when I put them on. The last pair of Moab mids lasted for 2 hunting seasons in NE Nevada with many miles of rough hiking on them. This was after wearing them for casual every day shoes the year before I started hunting with them. I still use them for out door working. They are well built.

I wear these boots for work for the first year, then wear them hunting and hiking for another year or two. They are so comfortable and lightweight and I brag about my Merrell's to all of my friends and buddies.

Excellent quality, comfort fit, looks great, good price. Just make sure you get the right size. The fit for me was a 1/2 size smaller (size 10 compared to other Merrill Moabs I had that were 10.5).

My last Merrells lasted over ten years and stayed waterproof for about eight. My new ones are just as comfortable and are only beginning their life with me.

Great hiker. Good support yet very comfortable. The extra ankle support is perfect for walking on uneven terrain.

Since having bilateral chilectomy (big toe surgery) about a decade ago, I've needed roomy, flexible boots that give my feet room to spread naturally with each stride. Moab wide men's size 13 fills the bill for me and I order a new pair as soon as the lugs wear thin on each old pair. I live in Maine and hike a lot on smooth granite, often wet or slanted; until I wear them down, these soles have excellent traction. Note: I upgrade to high-grade inserts from the lightweight factory issue.

These are the best fitting, most comfortable winter walking shoe I have found. Waterproof, warm, great stability, mid-ankle support, great traction, and they look good enough to wear to church. The wide width is perfect for my foot. I add an arch support to help with my plantar fasciitis.

My Moab's are replacing a two year old pair that I wore almost everyday around my Kansas Farm and while working my German Shorthairs. Durable, comfortable.I wear these, Chameleons, golf shoes and no other footwear.

Im a size 10 and i really tried to break those 10's in but, they were too tight. Went to size 11, perfect fit. I have a very average foot.

Comfortable from the first step. If they hold up well they will be my favorite hiking boots. I hike in the western Appalachian Mountains so waterproofing is good idea. So far my feet are staying dry.

Normally wear a US 12 shoe and ordered these handsome boots in size 12. A little tight at the toe box. Returned for size 12.5. Perfect! Easy to return and credit was prompt.

I love these shoes. They run a little small as other customers have noted. I usually wear size 11 in Clarks, LL Bean, and Skechers. I sized up to a 12 in these and they are perfect. I also wear 12 in Hoka and Brooks, so these fit me more like my athletic shoes. I also tend to wear thicker socks with these kinds of shoes. My trusty hiking boots had a blowout recently so I was in need of a comfortable, waterproof shoe that could handle different types of terrain. I've worn these Moab 3s on sidewalks, gravel, and up some fairly steep inclines. They are exactly what I needed. They come with plenty of padding around the ankles and a good footbed with plenty of support. About a year ago I had some problems with plantar fasciitis so I'm picky about how shoes fit. I've walked, hiked, and rucked a few miles in these and I am very happy with my purchase. I thought they looked a little clunky when I first unboxed them, but my 28-year-old son thought they were cool. As always, Zappos' service was great. My shoes arrived as promised and I got great communication from purchase, to shipping and delivery.

These have truly improved my disc golf game. The local courses are all wooded and a couple are rocky. My ankles are much happier with these and they are comfortable for a long day.

On a cold and damp 23-degree October night, i wore my Moab 3 Mid Waterproof boots to see the Northern Lights, 200 kilometers above the Arctic Circle. And while others complained about their cold feet and were unable to enjoy the unbelievable light show, my feet remained cozy and comfortable throughout the night. I have been wearing Merrell shoes since 2009 I wouldn't even consider any other brand of shoe for my outdoor activities.
