Do I need to say anything as these boots started it all for me years ago. These are comfy and waterproof. I would but these any day.

Perfect fit and very comfortable. This is my 3rd pair of Merrell Moabs.

Wore them around the house for a couple of days. Fine on the maiden local trail hike. We will be really testing their 'mettle' on a three week trip to the East Coast in September and a two week tip to Bolivia in November!

I've worn Moab's for years and this version is on another level. All leather and the super Vibram sole is very rugged. My 10.5 wide fit perfectly.

Very good hiking boots. They fit good, love the arch support and keep your feet dry. My 2nd pair!

I really like the Moab 3 Prime. They're not as comfortable at the Moab Speeds but they are more durable.

So far so good. The right boot fits perfectly and the left doesn't fit properly. It's pretty close. Used them to hike up the Exit glacier path in Alaska and they were great (8.4 miles) I had solid traction in the slippery rocks and they worked well in the snow-covered trail too. I'm glad I was wearing them, they gave me confidence in my step.

Overall, good boots for day hiking. Rated them a 4 because I have only used them for a few weeks and don't yet know how durable they will be. Initially a seam on the tongue caused some irritation on the front of my ankle but that stopped after a few days. The boots are very comfortable now.

Everything about these is great. Really wish they had better ankle support options is my only complaint.

The wide width is very wide. Get the sizing correct before making a purchase. Otherwise, you'll need the thickest socks you can get to keep your feet from swimming in them.

The Moab 3 are a nice fitting boot. Ruggedly built.
I'm currently walking the PCT. Unfortunately they are a bit too warm for the hot weather thru southern Oregon.

I’ve been buying Moab’s since 2019. This pair (prime) in 2024 & is not the same as the rest of them!!! The toe & heel made them feel like heavy boots for construction instead of hiking…
I'd also recommend:
Moab’s (not prime Moab’s) & chameleon’s

I have been wearing and promoting Merrells since the early 80s. They have always been hiking/trail boots that I could take out of the box and head out. Most often for 2 or 3 years of solid use without fail. To this day they fit out of the box but in the past years with the introduction of ribbons for lace guides, Merrells are one season shoes, at best. These new leather top MOABS are nice - mostly comfortable but the leather requires more breaking in and is resistant to being secured tightly. I'm reluctant to pull as tight as I need to because I know that very soon those top ribbons (in particular) will fail, as they have on my last 2 pairs of Merrells. PLEASE PLEASE MERRELL reintroduce some metal lace loops again. Ribbons look nice but they fail and cheapen the shoe's quality and life. I'm afraid these Moabs won't last the winter.

Right arch / insert did not provide enough support. Instead of feeling rounded, it touched the arch of my foot at a point. Ankle painful / rubbed. Not enough ankle padding.

I like the boots 's outsole. It has a very good traction. Cut and finish is very good. But don't let the word "Waterproof" fools you. These are not waterproof boots!! Quiet disappoint.

Not as comfortable as my Moab 2's. Inserts flatten too fast. I feel lik im walking on the actual rubber lug bottom with every step.

The most painful shoes I’ve ever bought. The insoles have an arch support so high it’s like stepping on a golf ball. Had to switch the insoles just to make them wearable.

Fit was off. Had to try several pairs. Very awkward boot, clunky when walking, not comfortable at all. Needs to be broken in I guess just did not want to decide if that was the issue for the price.

The fit was perfect for a 10 wide but every other step on the right foot was squeaky.

The Merrill boots I currently own have metal eye lets, the new ones I just bought are fabric. These boots will get returned as these seem cheap and will likely rip. I will be looking for another brand to purchase.
