I purchased the shoes for my 3 years old son. Since my son usually wears Lttle Kids 14.5 cm(between 9 and 10) shoes with a little extra space in front of his toes and the size is comfortable for him to walk with steady grip. This time I purchased size 10(15.0 cm). The shoes are entirely good and it has enough grip at the bottom. That's what I was looking for my son for our hiking. Only negative point is entirely larger size for his feet with extra space in front of his toes and insteps. I chose Little Kid Size. Because of that, when he walks uphill, he looks a little bit awkward. It's like Donald Duck who has large feet. But at flat ground and downhill, he's ok to walk.
