Compared to older purchases of flannel products, this fabric is no where the quality of past purchases. It keeps pilling after multiple washes. The older fabric is much smoother.

The flannel pajamas keeps pilling on the flannel material when washed. I have to wash separately due to the flannel pilling coming off and going onto other clothes which are being washed at the same time. This is continuing to happen after several washes.

I ordered the medium size for my husband, which is what he usually wears. Tops and pants were both too large. He exchanged them for small. The top fit perfectly. The elastic in the pants was way too tight. No amount of stretching would make them comfortable. Even if tops and pants were available separately, he wouldn't have found the right fit. The quality of the fabric is very nice. Disappointed to have to return them again.

Thank goodness I washed these pajamas alone before giving them to my husband to wear. I am now on the third wash to remove mountains of flannel fluff--removed from the washer, removed from the dryer, shaken on the floor, and hand-picked before washing again and then again--a total waste of my time and a huge disappointment in LL Bean's flannel quality. If there is the same amount of fluff after the third washing, I will return the pajamas to LL Bean.

Cheap, cheap, cheap. This was my husband's Christmas present. As with all cotton products, we washed it before wearing. The entire string around the waste fell off. Returned immediately!

I was very excited to use a gift card and buy these pajamas on sale. I saved enough money, I decided to have them monogrammed. The pants are so ridiculously baggy that I don't like them, and unfortunately, I won't wear them.

I returned these as both the sleeves and pants were way too long. I mean like 6" too long. The waist and chest were fine. Not happy that LLBean charges you to return it my mail. Won't buy from LLBean again.

Bought the Black Watch blue/green plaid. This fabric is intolerable. Lint everywhere! In the washing machine. In the dryer. Even after three washings! Thin, cheap, poorly made.

Haven't even tried on. Blue plaid has left horrible lint mess in washer and drier, in laundry room when shaken out. Clogged new metal mesh lint catcher on end of washer hose. Had to wipe out washer and dryer and vacuum everywhere. When I feel up to it I will use wide tape to try to get off more loose lint wads on outside and inside-out. Then will try to wash and dry again. This is color plaid my husband asked for his birthday. No use returning as clearly the problem is with fabric. Made in El Salvador

Have been buying these PJS for years and have noticed each year the quality going down hill. So sad.
Bought the Freeport grey. Horrible material. If you like wrinkles or like to iron these PJs are for you.

After wearing these for a couple weeks the pants ripped. I am not surprised. As the amount of lint left every time I took them off. I would expect better quality for the price. I would not recommend purchasing these.

Could not believe the amount of lint coming off these pajamas. I washed them and put through several rinses and dried on low. But still a lot of lint. Very disappointed in this product

I am extremely disappointed with this order. I ordered these pajamas as a Christmas gift for my son, and had his name embroidered. This was done sloppily: his name is not centered and the collar flap hides the first 3 letters of his name. This is not what I expect from LL Bean.

SIGNIFICANT lint issue. Washed 3 times separately. Still major problem Put in dryer & lint filter chucked full. Had to hand remove lint outside. Most in the pockets.

Not like prior flannel pajamas purchased. Washed 3 times before wearing, & pilled & linted beyond belief! Would not recommend these pajamas. I hope they bring back the quality of past purchases!

I have purchased these pajamas for several years but recently the company has changed the item for the worse. Most annoying is that they shed excessive lint, especially in the wash. I made the mistake of washing them with other clothes the first time and the rest of the wash was covered in lint from the pj's. Even drying them did not remove the lint. I ended up washing everything again - without the pajamas. Still some clothes had lint on them. In addition, the care label and an extra button are sewn into the back seam on the bottoms - just where they will be most annoying. Those I had to cut out. Also the bottoms have an elastic waist that is way to small and tight. Plus they have a waist cord to tie off in addition to the tight elastic. Talk about overkill. Finally, the bottoms have two side pockets, very convenient if you want to carry your car keys to bed. I certainly hope that the company returns to the style and sizing of the earlier product that was so satisfactory.

When designing pajamas think very carefully about the neck collar. In this case L.L. Bean put a full notched collar on the top pajamas. When sleeping it presses uncomfortably against my neck while resting on my pillow. Nobody wears a tie to sleep, get rid of the stiff notched collar.
Traditional pajamas NEVER have collars. They're usually collar-less with a comfortable opening for the head and a double-stitched lined edge. Sometimes a three inch slit in the front with a couple flat buttons is added for ease of removal.

Flannel fabric was surprisingly thin. Seam at arm tore after no more than 10 wearings. Would not purchase.

Been buying these for years for my husband. They are so much thinner and cheaper now I think it's disgusting that they have the nerve to charge the price for these. We used to love the nice warm flannel but it is not that way any longer. LLBeans quality has gone down hill big time. They do it gradually so that people do not notice as much. I am through purching their cheaply made clothing.

THESE SHED WORSE THAN A LONG HAIR CAT. THE BOTTOMS FIT BUT THE TOP WAS ABOUT A SIZE AND A HALF TOO BIG.

Quality is nowhere near what it used to be, material is so thin you can see through it.
Maybe okay for summer, useless for winter warmth.
Same lousy quality can be found for a lot less money.
