I got this as gift to replace an aging flannel bathrobe. The first thing I noticed was how heavy it was next to my flannel robe. I tried it on and could immediately see that it was a very poor fit and not like a medium size, more like a large. The sleeves are so long they cover my hands completely and I was swimming in extra fabric. This "medium" is more like a large for a fairly heavy person. Also, it's not as warm as my flannel and the flannel fabric is not very soft or cozy. Sending it back.

Was supposed to be lite weight. Was heavier than my cotton one. I returned it.

Not your every day housecoat, and the sleeves were much too long. Overall, not what I was looking for.

NOT a summer weight robe. Weighs more than my winter flannel robe - also from Bean. Very disappointed! This is a'first ' after many,many years.

My old, loved LLBean hooded fleece robe with knitted cuffs was getting a little tatty and decided to replace it. Sadly no longer available. Bought this more dowdily styled robe just saved by the promise of a soft waffle weave. Weird material. Not a traditional waffle weave. I take it off the hook where it hangs and I can feel it stretch under its own weight. It feels surprisingly heavy to have such an open weave. Sleeves are too long and I take an average 33/34 sleeve length. Have to roll the cuffs if I do anything in the kitchen or just wash my hands. The weight and stretch feel weird putting it on. Why would anyone make a wrap type garment out of stretch material? Makes no sense. Not crazy about it.

Received this robe today and immediately noticed the stretchy quality of the material. The feel of the material does not convey a feeling of high quality to me. I'm not sure why building this stretchiness into the robe was necessary but it is not a quality I need or like. Although somewhat larger than expected, the overall fit wasn't too bad except the sleeves did extend down over my hands. This may not be a problem for someone with fairly long arms. I'm returning the robe for a refund and don't plan to order any of the other robe offerings. Shopping with L.L. Bean used to be a pleasure but the quality of their products seems to be diminishing while their prices remain fairly high. I don't mind the higher prices when those prices are justified by high quality products. Disappointing.

This robe was physically extremely heavy - I don't know how many pounds it weights but a lot. When I put it on it felt hot - scratchy and physically heavy on my body. A definite return ASAP.

Too big for me. Should have returned it for a smaller size.

Everything about this robe looked great on the website, but I was disappointed. It is too large in every dimension, and what I thought would be a light waffle weight turned out to be quite heavy.

The fabric is OK, the fit is terrible. I first ordered an XL and it was a tent, too long sleeves, overall length was almost to the floor and I am 5'10". Second try was a large and the sleeves were closer to correct but still too long, while the length was about right. The fit across the chest is terrible with the chest area always pulling apart. This is the last robe from L.L.Bean for me. I have purchased two flannel robes before these and they fit good, but they both fell apart because the material was too light weight. It shouln't be this hard to find a quality robe.

The robe is the ONLY item I have ever purchased from LL Bean that I found significant fault with. The robe was so long that I nearly tripped over what was dragging on the floor. The arms were so long that once I got into it (you see, it was not something that you put on-- you got into it) I had to yell for help to get out of it because my arms were somewhere half way up the sleeves. And... it was way too heavy for summer use.

Didn't fit-large is much too large. Material is Very heavy weightmight be good for winter wear but, not for year round wear

Size of this robe is way too big vs expectations and the quality of the robe is also less than expected for the price

I'm not sure what we expected, but this is very flimsy and feels like it would be worse after it was watched. No shape to it at all.

Sorry, it was heavier than I thought it would be. Returned.

Am usually a large, but the sleeves were too long. Switched to a medium, and the sleeves were still too long.
