It was rather heavy and sagged quite a lot. I had bought it to take to a thermal spa abroad and I felt like I looked a little sloppy wearing it. It does just fine at home, I suppose. I just had to retire a different LL Bean robe that I had for about a decade and I replaced it with the organic cotton terry cloth robe I should have ordered that to begin with! I will happily make room in my suitcase for it! It rivals all of the absurdly expensive European thermal spa robes I've used.

We probably should have returned this for a different size. It's much too big. Otherwise, I suppose it's not bad. Heavier than expected.

First, this robe seemed well made, although a bit heavier than I expected from the description. What was a deal breaker for me, however, were the ridiculously long sleeves. I have fairly long arms and wear a 17/35 dress shirt, so I ordered this robe in XL. When I tried it on the sleeves were so long that they hung past the tips of my fingers. I returned the robe.

Too big and heavy. Adversed as light weight but was too heavy for me. It was also way too big.

Nice looking robe but didn't like the texture or the weight.

Probably a good robe but description was misleading. Not a lightweight robe like I wanted buy heavy and very warm. Returned for credit.

Sizing was a moderate problem. Ordered a medium robe and fits like a large or X-Large, particularly in the sleeve length.

The robe hangs heavy. It almost seems to be stretching out as it's worn.

I thought I could like this robe and I really wanted to--I tried, but like some other reviewers, I couldn't get past the "stretchiness" of it. It feels okay but the stretchiness makes it feel like it's always hanging and pulling instead of resting comfortably on the body. I also have the LL Bean Flannel Lined Rugby Robe and that one is fantastic, but too heavy for the current warmer season. I'm going to end up giving this one away and going on another search for a warmer weather robe that isn't made of stretch fabric.

The only reason I gave just 3 stars is due to item sizing. The quality is top notch as you would expect from L.L.Bean. I normally wear a size Extra Large with any of L.L. Beans shirts/Jackets. My first order was for a XXL thinking that would be a nice amount of extra room so it wasn't too constricting. It arrived on time but was way too big. I had to check the tag to make sure it wasn't mistakenly a tall. So we returned it for an X large. Again way too big and the long sleeves were about 6 inches too long. Returned it for a large which fit perfectly.

Comfortable all-seasons material. The sleeves are way too long. And I don't have short arms Rolling them up as a compromise.

I ordered my normal size - large. It's huge! Probably closer to an XXL. Body is a tent and sleeves are 4" too long. Would have sent it back but I threw away the packaging. Other than that it is good-looking, well made and the material is comfortable.

Robe is fine, but not precisely for me. Robe is long. I have world's shortest male legs. Robe ... drapes. I did not envision looking like a drapery rod. But hey, it's comfortable. I like the weight. I just didn't realize that, at 5-6.5 tall, I would look like a cherry popsicle in the red version. I will adapt. I recommend it to six-footers and above. I bought a large based on the shoulder/chest area.

Sleeves are extremely long. Had to hem them for a proper fit.

robe fits well but it is so HEAVY. Tiresome to wear for any length of time.

Size was too big, not as soft as hoped and very heavy material.

I ordered my normal large and it was way too big. I exchanged for a medium and it fits like a long large. I kept it because its well made, other than the sizing. Its also a little heavier than I wanted and expensive, but I had that stimulus money.

Purchased for my husband. Larger than expected. Also it's also heavier than expected. Since we live in the South he doesn't need a heavy robe. Will be exchanging for a flannel robe.

I was looking forward to a lightweight robe for summer use, as the description says it is suitable for "year- round" use. However I found the material to be heavy and the length too long for my height (past mid calf, closer to my ankles). In addition, there is to be not enough material to easily/loosely wrap around oneself and feel confident that you are "covered".. For best and discrete coverage, you have to snug up both sides closely, especially when sitting down. The material is super soft; perhaps if it were closer to knee length it would be less heavy and I would keep it. But this will be way too hot for non-winter months in SC. Last complaint is that the pockets are too low! Can't get my whole hand in a pocket without slouching over. Handsome piece, so I'm disappointed it does not work for me.

Looks and feels cheap. Lousy quality. Stretchy, thin fabric that was alreayd pilled and mishapen right out of the packaging. It looked like the fibers were already losing their color. The sleeves also run longer than the size chart says, probably due to the stretchiness. It also doesn't hang well, just looks sloppy due to the material.

Received this robe as a gift a little over a year ago and although I really like the thick and quality material. The cut makes it almost unwearable. Regardless of how I tie the waist, the front opens up and leaves an open gap which doesn't allow a nice warm seal.

The sizing is way off. Every size is at least one size too large.
