The sash could be thicker, will not stay tied with simple knot

Bathrobe is soft and warm. We haven't washed it yet, so can't report on whether there's a mismatch between the flannel and the lining. The biggest drawback is the belt/tie which is not as long as it should be for a large-sized garment for a larger sized person.

As a taller than average woman I end up buying men's clothes to get something long enough that will fit. This was a GREAT option - the reviews others wrote were very helpful in determining which size i would need. It's as described, very warm, long enough for my arms and legs. Only downside is that almost immediately after I got it the pocket ripped on the seam. I was simply putting my hands inside as I was sitting down to warm up and one side ripped with such sad, ease. I was frustrated that the construction was not as durable as I have come to expect with LL Bean products, but it should be an easy fix for me to make. Everything else about it is phenomenal!

As a seamstress I was not pleased that the bottom folds up.. maybe the lining is too long, or heavy but hem doesn't lay flat like it should. so bottom hem flips up. Also got matching pajamas...plaids don't match. Unusual for a high priced item. Robe is nice and warm tho.

It was a beautiful robe. It was made very well and the color was more beautiful in person than in the magazine. It was one of the best buys I made this holiday season.

I received this XL-Tall robe as a Christmas gift. It fit well and is very warm in the cold weather. It has a fair amount of heft to it, but once on, that's not noticeable. Enjoy.

I bought this robe for my husband now that the temperature is dropping and he really loves it! The sherpa inside is soft and very warm. My only complaints are that I bought what appeared to be the orange color because orange is his favorite color, but it is not at all orange, definitely a brick red/clay color. Also, after the first wash I noticed that the outside of the robe looks very worn and has pilled a lot. I didn't put the robe in the dryer for fear of damaging it and I washed on a delicate cycle, but still the outside is very rugged after only one wash, so I suspect it won't hold up as long as I would like. The sherpa lining washed well and remained soft. Overall it's good and my husband wears it daily, but the quality isn't quite there for the cost.

This is a very soft, comfortable robe. Unfortunately, the XL was W-A-A-A-Y too big, so I will be returning it for a size L.

My husband has worn the fleece-lined flannel shirts for years. When I saw this fleece-lined robe, I figured it would be perfect for him. He loves it and says it feels like he is wearing a blanket! I would definitely recommend it for those who need some extra warmth.

This robe is a little large, but otherwise well made and warm. Note that because there is a lining, the sleeves tend to pull up whatever sleeved garment you're wearing underneath. If you're looking for a warm robe, this one does the trick. But if you don't mind sacrificing a bit of warmth, the unlined version may serve you just as well.

The placement of the belt was high. The robe fit better then other brand I had tried. Also good that is goes by small to large instead of one size fits all. The belt loops had to be lowered.

Good fit and comfy and looks good on my husband; the true test will be wear and tear after repeated washings; the last one I bought did not last as long as I thought because he does his own washing and not enough.

I ended up sending this product back in favor of the unlined Scotch flanned robe which is very soft and comfortable. In colder weather I will still wear the Chamois Flannel robe I bought from LL Bean over 10 years ago. the Chamois robe is worn on the sleeves because they are folded up and at the belt but otherwise is intact. I would be the first to buy another chamois robe is you should offer them again.

I'm a Large/XL in most things these days but I returned the medium for a small and still felt it was too massive

The robe itself was lovely but the wrong size. My issue is with yhe new return policy: Bean no longer accepts online orders to be returned at an outlet. The reason I shopped online was that I wanted to continue to be able to make any necessary returns at the outlet to avoid being charged for shipping. Just another example of Beans diminishing customer service and diminishing convenience

Since the outer layer is cotton, it shrunk after washing even in cold water. There is now a permanent hem of fleece along the bottom edge. The belt is completely twisted after washing, so one can get out an iron and get the twists out. On the other hand it is nice and warm.

It's okay but not as thick, warm and heavy as the one that I've had for years.

1st robe after washing. Flannel shrank while the lining didn't. Lining showed past the hemline in back of robe. Also hole in plaid flannel on elbow and pocket after 1 yr. use.

Product is good quality. Unfortunately it had an alarm attached to the sleeve. When I called Customer service they could only offer refund with return, but I gave it as a gift. There were no others left and they would not send the one I had back if I returned it. Frustrating. So I googled how to remove the alarm and it worked. The robe itself is very good looking. Not as soft on the inside as I expected but ok.

I am puzzled by all the great reviews. Sherpa is all show. These robes used to be made with polar fleece which was truly warm. Sherpa is all illusion. In a cold environment, this is not going to cut it. While the flannel and workmanship is nice, it's clear that LLBean is getting cheap. This robe is going back, and I will keep shopping for my husband . Please bring back the old fleece robe (and stop with crazy new products like diamond stitched quilted polyester robes, which is definitely ended up on clearance).

Read the care instructions and follow them. I don't know if that will help but I can assure you that laundering this robe in a commercial machine such as the one we have in my assisted living facility will destroy its appearance forever. Our machine does not allow the care specified in the laundering care instructions. The result of its higher temperature was shrinkage which was different for the flannel outer material and th Sherpa lining. Now it looks awful.

It was difficult for my husband to put his arms thru the sleeves because of the lining. Maybe if his arms were bare it would be OK. We returned the Robe
