Plush and absorbent, true size, worthwhile purchase

Purchased this cotton robe to replace my husband's existing eighteen year old robe which he refused to give up. Once he tried it on, he gave me his old robe and said he wouldn't be needing it anymore. The comfort of LL Bean's 100% cotton cannot be beat. This robe has a great weight and the color is a true, rich navy blue. Another perfect Christmas gift from LL Bean.

Great looking robe and fits (medium size) perfectly. I am 5'10", weigh 178 Lbs, sleeve length 32-33 inches. Love the feel of the terry cloth and weight of the material. Nice and warm for the winter months. Too early to access how it would hold up to laundering over a long period of time. I chose the lighter color (iron vs navy) which would be less susceptible to fading.

Best robes ever. My grandson wanted one a s a young child and has worn it for 5 years. Now I bought an adult one. Soft, strong and comfortable!

I've looked at various brands of terry cloth men's robes. Based on my subjective review of quality and price, LLBean's men's robe offers a good balance. It is a thick, warm robe; good for bundling-up. Washes up well. There's enough material that even after a warm water wash, the shrinkage was nominal. I was tired of the same old white terry, and so the juniper color was a good change.

This is a high quality robe. The problem is sizing. I purchased what I believed was the right size and it was too large. I washed it in hot water, it shrunk to the right size, and now all is good.
