the women's version of this shirt hoodie has a zip front and, once again, for some reason, just doesn't feel as hefty/thick. i love the snap front that not only gives you easy on/off ability but also allows more variety to snap the whole thing, just the middle or middle to bottom. you don't have to stress poor arthritic fingers trying to jam tiny buttons into narrow button holes. i got this after i had shoulder surgery to allow me to drape it over my one arm and it worked great. you could put a light layer underneath. it feels wonderfully soft and cozy and is that perfect "tween" layer (just as it starts to get cold it can be worn on its own or over a light jacket or you can layer something over it when it gets really cold). the hood and hand pockets really come in handy!!! you won't regret getting it for yourself or as a gift! i have washed it multiple times and do not notice any shrinkage.

I have and like the shirt in this pattern a lot. I bought the hoody in the other color which is heavier then the shirt and will be great for those breezy and cool fall days in Maine. The XL size fits perfectly and the construction quality is excellent... it's a step up from a typical flannel shirt.

Great overshirt. Just the right weight for chilly weather and could make a suitable layer under a windproof shell.

Super comfortable and looks great. Has a slightly box-y fit. You may want to order down a size. I'm 5'8", 175-180 and I'm usually between a medium and large in most brands. I bought a medium in this and I wish it was slightly smaller but still very happy with it.

With slash side pockets, snaps instead of buttons on the front, and almost straight tails, the shirt is virtually a jacket. A little bit roomier and it would, indeed, be a jacket. But it's warm and comfortable regardless of whether you wear it as a shirt or over a shirt.

Was on the fence about this product at first; a flannel shirt hoodie? When it arrived I put it on and... Wow! Excellent quality, durable materials, great fit, comfortable, cozy, comfy. Will but at least one more soon and donate a current item or three to make room in the closet. My step son has one (Blackwatch) and loves it.

This is my second scotch plaid hooded shirt purchase in the same season. I can't be more impressed with the comfort and warmth of these shirts. Having the snaps instead of buttons makes this shirt close to perfect for me.
