I recommend this shirt. it's great

I'm a cold weather guy and this River Driver's henley fits the bill for the cooler weather. I ordered the large tall - like other reviewers mentioned, the initial fit had the sleeves much too long. But contradicting the instructions, I washed the shirt and sent it through the dryer and the fit is now excellent - sleeves and body both fit extremely well. The shirt overall is warm and comfortable either singly on mild Autumn days or as a base layer on the colder days. Love this henley!

Warm, comfy and doesn't interfer with my work motions.

My husband is a farmer and he wears these shirts when the weather gets cold. Great layering piece, keeps him warm and is very comfortable. These have also held up well, considering he is very hard on work clothes.

I owned one of these some 40 years ago, when I was younger and active. I wore it until it finally died. Kind of forgot about it until I noticed it in an email recently. Now that I'm in my dotage, it's still as good as it ever was. Too bad I'm not!

I've been wearing these shirts for years. To me they are really sweaters . They are a unique combination of cotton, wool and nylon. The cotton part is against your skin the wool and the nylon are on the outside for warmth and durability. They last forever and can be worn under a jacket for colder conditions or I usually wear mine over a light t-shirt. The XX tall is probably a little big for me but I like my clothing loose. Buy it.

Please sell this exact shirt in women's sizes. We need them as much as men! Women's henleys are all too wimpy in weight and too tight in style. Many thanks!

My second time purchase of this item. Wore it for the first time today as we taste the first of winter's chill. Fit is good, snug and comfortable, not too wide at base. - Good product.

I'm normally a tough fit. Usually between an XL and a 2 XL. The tall was a bit long but took care of the plumbers issue when bending. Quality appeared to be as expected from Bean although i haven't put it to the test yet. Depending on the test of time, I would consider buying another as of now

this is my second one of these. the two layers make it unnecessary to wear a base layer and then another shirt. the interior one is wicking and soft. the outer is more substantial. great shirt to wear for casual or work outside such as blowing snow. highly recommended.

feels good and looks good too

Out of the packing and quality, fit and feel, are great. Brisk fall air bites against my skin but not thru this comfort layer. Warm, cozy, and just this slight bit oversized to easily accommodate even the largest thanksgiving belly. Perfect thickness and not "over thick" as name double layer might suggest. I could see myself wearing this shirt for the next 3 to 4 months here in northern Michigan.

I ordered this for the intermediate cooler fall days. It fits the bill perfectly. It's warm, comfy, with good breathability and wind resistance. I have already ordered another.

In this day and age, product reliability is something we all search for but seldom find. My recent purchase of the Two-Layer River Drivers Shirt from LLBean showed me once again that there's a reason for this companies longevity. The quality of this Two-Layer Henley is apparent from the time it arrives. Soft to the touch yet it's durability is readily apparent. The traditional fit is just a they described, relaxed in the chest but tailored enough to look and feel great. Looking forward to my next purchase!

I have been wearing these shirts for 30 years, and this is the best yet. I got a small this time, and the slimmer fit makes it may go to shirt for hikes, evenings, first layer. This is also warmer than I remember

I bought this shirt many years ago. Now it's so worn, I really need another. I'm disappointed that LLBean no longer makes a women's version. Women spend time outdoors as well. Don't forget about us!

I'm down to my last River Driver shirt which I've worn for 30 years! That's durability. Why are you not offering these in Women's sizes?

The sons, the son-in-law and the hubby LOVE these shirts! One of my sons even ordered another for himself so he'd always have a clean oneha!

I have had several of this wool - cotton underwear-shirts over the last 30 years from LL Bean. This one is the best. I love this product. Every time I put it on after 3-5 minutes I just feel, well, warm all over. I do not live in a cold climate, but I am getting older and when I am inactive and doing something like reading with the heat turned down this shirt - underwear just makes me feel like I have pulled up warm covers in bed. I have several of the synthetic ones and they are very good for outdoors hiking and climbing, but the heat I get from the woven plastic products just does not have the same wonderful feel you get from wool. Of course you have to put up with slight wool itch, but this shirt has the least itch of about 4 of these I have bought over the last 30+ years from LL Bean. I also have silk. Silk works well but not the same feeling I get from this shirt.

I purchased or been given these shirts for decades, and have never been disappointed with any aspect of their quality. The shirts are warm, durable, and great looking for any situation. The fit is perfect and the slightly extended sleeve length is good for layering rather then having them "suck up" under an outer layer. These shirts are my "go to" for 3 seasons of Michigan weather!
