LL Bean has gone back to its old quality shirt, as opposed to what they sold last year which was appreciably lighter in weight. In my opinion this shirt is worth the money as ones I've bought in the past wear like iron. I'm a bit worried about the bright red shirt's colors running but--so far so good.

Ive been wearing these chamois shirts for decades and they really keep me warm. For someone who cant wear wool because of allergies, chamois shirts are a godsend.

This is an excellent shirt . It is very warm and comfortable not to mention looks great on as well. The only issue I have with the shirt is the corners of the coolar and the sleeves get threadbare long before the shirt is worn out. At that point it becomes unsightly

Great length for a 6'-3" guy, but too roomy for 200 lbs. Returned for the semi-fitted version and am super happy with the fit. Material is substantial and overall well made.

I like that the red is really red, not dark red. It is a much lighter "weight" of fabric than I was expecting from previous less expensive purchases.

This Navy Blue Chamois lined shirt was just purchased as a gift for my son. He says it fits well. His size is usually large, but in LL Bean size, he takes a medium.

Chamois shirt is fairly heavy and very soft. Heavier than a standard flannel but not quite a "jacket". Be careful how you launder this garment because it will shrink a bit. Shrinkage is not extreme if you wash and dry as recommended. I have this same shirt in the "slightly fitted" cut as well and the "regular" cut has more room overall. A quality product. Buttons are attached well, appears sturdy at the seams, pockets are even and well placed, and fabric is soft. I am content with my purchase.

Great shirt. Would give a five star if it was still made in America.

It's a beautiful shirt, almost perfect for winter. The only problem is that the pockets are too small to accommodate my phone and 6 inch notebook, making them virtually useless. (The pockets would hold a pack of smokes, but I quit smoking forty years ago). Add one inch to the pockets and a pen slot and it would be perfect.

Purchased in green. It is warm, soft, and a good length for XL Tall. Purchased for my 6'3" 215lb partner. It's a little on the boxy side, but he said he would prefer it that way than feel constricted. He wears it when we go out and also when relaxing around a fire. It's got style without being trendy.

This shirt was nicely made with quality material but I had to exchange because extra large was ginormous on me. Sleeves and chest way too big unless you want to have it more as outerwear. Exchanging for the slightly fitted model in a Large.

The shirt is great! I wish they came in a traditional hunter or forest green, like they have for fifty years. Why is there burgundy/wine/grey/deep loden/navy, but no forest green???

Bought this same shirt about a year ago. The new one seems smaller and of thinner material when comparing the two!

Seemed a bit thinner than previous shirts (this was for my spouse, a lifelong LLBean customer, now in his 50s). Otherwise great fit and construction.

I purchased 2 of these chamois shirts back in I believe 2006. The Loden (Green) and Red. Love these shirts. Warm nice and thick great for body heat under a sweater for us northerners. But a few weeks ago I had a spray can of white paint blow up and ruined my green shirt. So I ordered a new one to replace it. A grey one as couldnt find the green. Got it about 10 days later and as I tried it on it felt flimsy not thick as the others. I got my other shirt and checked. Sure enough its not as thick as my older shirt. A shame. Didnt think you folks at the Bean would cut corners like that but quality I guess is a thing of the past. Now it cheap throw it away and buy new. Wore that shirt all these years and till ruined stillt looked great. Will miss it.

Shirts are of great material and have very good fit. However, the only flaw and a major one is the quality of how the buttons are sewn on, after several washing the thread breaks down and the buttons come off. I have 5 of these shirts and that flaw is common with all of them!

I love these shirts. My father gave me one, back in the 80s and I had it until recently and this is a replacement I love the feel ,warmth, workmanship and the longevity of the shirt . It fit well with extra buttons and never tore or stained. I am short but wear a regular shirt .

Really a nice shirt, but for some reason, it's pilling a bit. I'm thinking it's the color as hubby has 7 others and no pilling

They didn't have large tall in stock so that is the only reason for the lower review.

The shirt was what I expected except that the L tall was way too big.I sent it back for a M tall and it fit perfectly. There was no problem with the exchange.
