I have been buying these shirts for my husband for some time now, and recently introduced my grandson to the chamois flannel shirt. He thought they were wonderful, warm and heavy enough to wear as a light jacket on warmer fall days! They wash well, dry well needing no ironing, and the colors are very nice too!

I own 4 of these shirts now and they are the perfect shirt for working in the shop on colder nights. The chamois texture is quite comfortable and for a 150lb 5'10 guy, the fit in a small allows room for movement but the shirt still remains stylish for nights out. I'm also very impressed with LLBean's production quality and customer service - there's never been a hiccup!

Longtime Bean customer. I'm 6'2" 175 lbs, shirt 15 1/2 x 35, suit 42 L. Pretty much always wear a Regular Large. Bean Tall is too long for me. -- OK, I got the Chamois shirt for Xmas. Absolutely great shirt, heavyweight, softer than real chamois. BUT I got a Regular Large and it was huge, really broad and long. I exchanged it for a Regular Medium and it fits great -- still large enough to wear as an over-shirt, which was part of my intent -- sleeve length fine, everything good. Became a Favorite Shirt immediately. Excellent quality, well worth the hassle.

Hi first were the shirts in the 1970s, but they were bulky and hard to tuck in. I spoke with a representative about the dimensions between large and medium/ regular and tall. I'm 6-2 & 185. I took a chance!... I ordered 3 shirts in medium- tall. They fit as though they are tailored, and tuck in easily. And, they are warmer than they used to be!...Am very happy!

I have been ordering from LL Bean for many years (since the 'LL Bean' reference in the movie 'Beetlejuice', actually) and have NEVER been disappointed. Their merchandise has always been top quality with no diminution whatsoever. These shirts stand are a shining example of the Bean organization's dedication to quality.

These Bean Chamois shirts are well built and very comfortable on these cool fall and winter days. The material is more plush and heavier than most shirts. I bought one to compare it with a competitor's similar product and I was so impressed with the overall quality and warmth that I bought another.

My husband is constantly feeling cold with his end stage renal disease. He is not a plaid type of guy and these shirts are perfect for him. Warm and comfortable.

This is an amazing shirt. My husband has had other chamois shirts from L.L. Bean in the past which have been great and this shirt is even better. He just ordered another one. He's really happy with this purchase and so am I. It doesn't require any ironing. That's a real plus in my opinion. Thanks, L.L. Bean.

The first set of these chamois shirts I purchased for my husband lasted for 16 years, until they fell apart and he wore them constantly. He has several others in different colors. They wear great, fit well, and wash well. Just a perfect shirt for an active man to keep warm, to work in. Just a beautiful shirt!

I agree with the rest of the reviews that this is the best shirt I've ever owned. The only issue can be finding the right fit as these shirts run big. I'm 6'5, 190lbs, with a 42 inch chest, 16.5 inch neck, 37/38 inch sleeve length. In all my other LLbean shirts I wear a large tall, but in this shirt the Medium tall fit perfect. The sleeves are long enough for my lanky arms and the tail is long enough to tuck in or wear untucked without looking like a dress. Im pretty thin and there is enough room under hear to wear a long sleeve thermal if needed. If you wanted a roomy fit or to wear this as a jacket I'd order your normal size. If you want a more tailored fit you could size down like i did. Hope this helps you tall guys find the right size!

My husband loved his new chamois shirt! The fit was perfect, fabric very soft and durable , keeps him warm!

I had been looking for this shirt for a few years. I had one as a kid 30 years ago. It is super soft, warm, shirt tails and pockets with flaps. I bought a red one and will buy the light tan one as a second. Great wind block too!

The chamois shirt is my husband's favorite. He wears them as a light jacket as well as a shirt. The quality & durability are so high, They last so long, I'm running out of colors to buy him!

I have worn L.L. Bean Chamois shirts over the years. I have been completely satisfied until the "Traditional Fit" label was added to the nape of the neck. It rubs constantly. In a shirt received last year, I removed the label and got comfort back immediately. Unfortunately, in removing the label, I made a small hole in the material. That has not deterred me from enjoying an iconic product from L.L. Bean.

This is my usual shirt for fall through the end of winter. This shirt has the best quality and is rugged enough to last the years I'll be wearing them. I know I'll wear it outa and it will keep its shape and fit. best shirts ever.

I love this shirt. As a tall guy, clothes that fit well are not easy to find. LLBean products have proven to be excellent for fit and comfort. I highly recommend this shirt.

The shirt is very comfortable and durable. As it gets warmer weather you can wear it as a lightweight jacket. Love it.

my husband has worn these shirts for years. they don't shrink or fade

Im almost 70 now and duck hunted and big game hunted for many years..... i have been buying these shirts for many years. I love them so must that i wear then to the point of being rags! Bought three new ones and have only worn two so far however im sure the third is just a warm and well fitting and sooo comfortable! If you are looking for a fall-winter-spring shirt get you some!!!!

I normally would not write a review of yet another great product from LLBean.com because everything I have bought from them over the past thirty years has been superb. This review came about only because my brother, who compliments nothing, actually said that he liked the shirt. It is a slightly darker gray than the same gray Chamois cloth shorts of years past, which I prefer. The material and stitching are excellent, as is the usual with LLBean.

i have been buying and wearing these shirts for more years then i can remember. my two boys also love them. we are a very outdoors kind of family with hunting, fishing and work. they hold up very well and i must say in all the years i have been wearing them i have never had a button fall off. my wife does not sew so that is saying a lot.
