Not only are they great boots for their intended purpose, I just had my Achilles repaired, and find them quite comfortable and supportive.

Such a beautiful well made boot. They run a little big so I got a 9 instead of my usual 10 size. Fits perfect! Warm and comfortable, I wouldn't wear anything else.

Love these! Look amazing and very comfortable. I am a size 8M in llbean boots (9 or 9.5 in other brands). The fleece lining does take up a little room inside, so if you barely fit into and a size without any insulation/fleece/etc then maybe size up, but they fit me perfectly.

Great quality but sizing off, I'm a size 10 1/2 and ordered the 10 and it was still way too large. All the lined boots are on backorder to March so I had to get one that had no lining , with a warm install and it was still successful.

My one complaint is that the heel is a bit narrow and doesn't offer the support I was looking for in uneven terrain.

Shoppers are advised to order one size down from their normal size. Don't do it. These boots run a bit narrow. My old boots are size 9. Many happy miles on them. I bought size 10 to accommodate thicker socks. I had to return them( no problems) for 10 1/2. I own 4 pairs of Bean boots or Maine hunting shoes. Love them. 2 size 9, one size 10, now up to 10 1/2. Other than sizing, quality is outstanding.

It took 3 different sizes, but found it. Love their return policy. So far they've met my expectations.

My first pair of Bean Boots. They fit great and are water proof. The fleece lining is not as warm as other boots I have owned. I recommend two pair of wool socks and they are good to go in when the temps dip below 20F.

I love these boots! They keep my feet warm and dry but the lack of a fully gusseted tongue for a boot I would assume is designed to brave the elements is a weird choice.

These Men's, 8" Fleece-Lined Insulated Boots arrived before the Holidays with only one boot laced. The other boot was unlaced and there wasn't a loose lace in the box. I called L.L. Bean immediately. They said they were extremely busy just before the Holidays. With apologies, they sent a pair of 54" laces that day regular mail free of charge that did not arrive until after the Holidays. The boots themselves fit great. Their advice to go down 1/2 size is perfect. I am size 8 1/2 M, I ordered 8 M. The fit is perfect. The upper leather and fleece lining is soft and pre-broken in. Stitching great - what you would expect from L.L. Bean boots. I would recommend these boots to a friend. The only reason I gave 4 stars is I cannot believe how someone could pack a pair of boots and see that one boot did not have laces on the boot or in the box.

I normally wear a size 11/11.5. I first got these boots in an 11 which were too big. I returned them for a size 10, which was a much better fit; however, they still seemed a bit too wide.I ordered the Bean's Shearling insole (graphite) which made a huge improvement to the comfort and fit. I wasn't crazy about the laces that came with the boots so I swapped them for boot laces from another company. Small price, big improvement. If better laces and the insole were part of the original package I would have given them 5 stars. Still great boots though.

Love the shoe. Looks amazing, feels amazing. Only reason it is not 5 stars is the insole is dreadful- thin, barely supports an arch, requiring me to buy a new insole for a new pair of boots.

Supper comfortable, almost like an UGG type shoe. Funny that Thom Browne and LL Bean are both making greay duck boots this year. I guess these are on trend again. -- Former Prep School kid

I haven't worn these boots much since I ordered them last year. However one time I wore them on a long walk and the supports inside the boot started scraping against my ankle. I wore them again recently but not on a long walk.

They are fine, had to order them because they did not have my size in stock. I got boots that look slightly used.

These boots started rubbing against my ankle on one foot when I wore them for a long walk. Whether I had them laced up too tight I don't know. But they should make the inside of the boot softer or something.

These boots are comfortable and warm but not intended for any type of ice or snow. They are awesome in rain or mud. They are just too slippery and dangerous on ice or slushy snow.

Had to send them back. The fit was just too funky.

The fit is a bit disappointing because i wear a 10 in most footwear and bouht a 9 due toother reviews and the boots are still big enough where I had to use a second insole in them to make them fit better. I still get a bit of heel slip but I will end up keeping them because I have already worn them a number of times outside and I don't think LL Bean will accet a return at this point. They are warm and waterproof enough for my purposes which is walking the dog in inclement winter weather here in the NY tri-state area.

Initially I ordered size 12 exchanged for 11. The footprint is perfect however, my shines become abrasive if I tie them too close. Otherwise they are great product.

LL Bean boot sizes are off. I bought these as a gift and sized down as recommended, but they were still about an inch too big. Can't size down because they don't make them any smaller. The boots are nice - I just wish the sizing was more accurate.

I wish there were half sizes available. We are unable to find a good fit
