May be the worst design of any product I've ever purchased. Bought two pairs to replace a wonderful, and similar, pair I'd bought from Bean 3-4 years ago. With these, the very minimal rear of the slipper behind the heel is exactly wrong. A few "test steps" in the living room reveal that the back, behind the heel, will neither stay on or off. Weird - just weird. Obviously form over function. How does one wear such a thing out to the woodpile, when they're not securely on your feet? Advice to the designer - either make it a true slip-on - and I'll know not to buy it for serious wear - or make them with a full back behind the heel. Like most hybrids, these do nothing very well. Not easy to slip on, can't use them as a part-time shoe for a quick outdoor chore.

zero padding - all you feel is a hard sole and an even harder floor - did Bean change manufacturer? My old Bean slippers (same style) were so much better, much more padding whereas these have been returned - for the price, I would expect better quality from Bean.

Width and Length where fine. Height was the problem. Foot would not even go half way into this slipper.

There is not enough material behind the ankle. They won't stay on my feet. They are too tight width and length. This is the first time I have ever had a size 12 shoe medium not fit!

I marked "true to size" because you are forced to select something. The problem wasn't that the footbed was too narrow or too wide or too small or too big. The problem was that when the footbed fit, the top of the slipper was so small that you couldn't get your foot into the slipper. We ordered a size larger and the top of the shoe fit, but then the toe area was too too long. Very frustrating. Both pairs were returned.

Fit like a too wide, but too small slipper with no back. Always bought from Bean with confidence because of the return policy, but blindsided by the $6.50 deduction for a return. My last purchase from Bean after more than 30 years.

I like the material and looks like good build quality. I really wanted to like it. I normally wear 9 1/2 and ordered 10 which was way too small. Went up to size 11 but still too snug and way too narrow. Not sure why they don't make these but bit wider for comfort.

These are unbelievable. The sizes are no help. I am a size 9 and ordered a 10. It's so small it cuts off my blood flow and my heel hangs over the back. That's ridiculous. I don't know whether an 11 would fit but I shouldn't have to pay return shipping for an item that I ordered above my size that is still too small. That's the fault of L.L. Bean. They need to fix their faulty product. I do not recommend ordering it at all, it's an absolute crapshoot.

I received these slippers as a gift and I must admit that at first I loved them. Then I wore them outside in the morning and they got a little damp. Not wet, just damp. Then the smell came and it will not go away. It is truly offensive. I put the slippers outside for a week now, but the smell is not dissipating at all. Sorry, I would not recommend these slippers.
