Lately hubby has been having trouble finding shoes/boots that feel comfortable. He tried these but had to return because they felt too tight in the toe area in usual size of 8 1/2. He got a size up and wide width and this pair feels great.

Love the fit- I have a wide foot and this is one of the few hiking shoes that I have found that provide the proper fit. Just completed a rather challenging hike in Valley of Fire and the shoes performed admirably- no slippage on loose rack, great in desert sand and more importantly no blisters/no black toe, etc.

I get these for my grandson every year as he is fussy about his shoes and boots and he really likes the fit and color of these boots. He's in high school and they keep his feet warm while walking to the bus stop. He likes the grey color over the brown so I hope you don't change that! The size was an 11; he is 15yrs old, about 5'4" and about 120lbs.

Heaven; as soon as I put on these boots, that is what I felt. My foot slide into the boot very nicely; even though I have a wide foot, the regular sizing was excellent. The loop on the back helped greatly. Bean points helped out greatly.

Love these. I walk a couple of miles every morning year round and these are warm in the winter and very comfortable. They last me over a year and I am on my third pair.

Super comfortable and light weight and good looking

These shoes inspire confidence on tough Maine trails! Whether you are in a narrow board across a marsh or a mountain trail with tree roots, rocks and boulders, these shoes give me solid traction. I need a wide size 10.5. These shoes seemed true to size. My feet love the way the soles give in the right places over rough terrain. Even after hours on the trail, my feet feel good.

Good fit & comfortable per son (purchased for him).

Love these boots for however long they have been a product of L L Bean. However, last two pairs of these boots were not up to the term waterproof, as only dew on grass will soak through. The hiking shoes have lays fit perfectly, but the waterproofing is no longer a feature.

True to size. Comfortable, perfect weight. I deal for light hiking and outdoor activities.

My husband loves these boots. I think he's on his 4th or 5th pair now. He used to buy expensive hiking boots but always complained they didn't give the right support in the right spots and stayed stiff. These have worked well for hiking and just more protective boots for outdoor work. After about 2 years of hard abuse is when I notice them wearing at the edge and toe box but it's not a defect of the product, just hard use and time for new ones.

Nice product but I had to send back because they are no longer as wide as the pair I was replacing. They were labeled EE but were much narrower than my old pair and I could not wear them.

Perfect for trail walking and riding my e bike. I had under armor shoes before but they didn't last like the bean shoes do.

Great boot. Waterproof tec works great, comfortable and decently warm. Second time buying, first pair lasted 3 years.

Bought these as an anniversary gift for my husband. He says LL Bean's boots and shoes always fit perfectly. They wear very well and are quite comfortable.

This is a great product. With insulated shoes - I have to go up a size. The 13 is too small. I wear a 13. The 14 fit well.

This is my seconds pair. I was well-satisfied with first pair and am still wearing them after 4+ years. Firm sole is definitely an advantage when hiking rocky, hilly trails.

First thing I noticed was the rugged construction of the hikers. They get a lot of miles put on them as I wear them while working outside at my business.Good room in the toe box and they are still comfortable at the end of the day. I also bought a pair of the Elevation hikers and they are great fitting and comfortable as well.

I have owned 3 pairs of these, they have not changed in quality or fit over the years. They have minimal "break-in" time requirements and could be used as a new boot at a drop point for the serious hiker. I have narrower feet with a high arch and wear a 12.5 running shoe, the 12 in these boots fits great! I have worn these boots everyday before and they will last 8 months to a year with hiking trips included in that time frame. Serious hikers may go through 2 of these a year. Highly recommended! I hope the design and quality never change!
