I'm really disappointed. I have owned two pairs of LLBean ballet slipper style slippers and they lasted about 10 years each. Since they are no longer available, I purchased this style instead, and already after only a couple of months of wear the shearling is coming off! They look terrible. I really expected more from LLBean.

This is the second time this has recently happened. Very disappointed in the quality of workmanship.

I loved this slippers when I bought them a year ago but I already have to replace them because the lining of the footbed has completely worn down. For this much money and this many 5 star reviews I would expect to get a few good years out of them before needing to purchase a replacement.

Like a few others mentioned, the back slips off when walking, so not comfortable. They felt good when I put them on, but the slippage made me return them. Too bad.

I purchased these slippers 14 months ago and the sheepskin is wearing away and fraying. I am not able to return them. I would not pay $79 for a pair of slippers that only last a little over a year. LL Bean used to stand behind their products.

Will not buy from L.L. Bean ever again. I paid in U.S. debit/credit card, and they refunded with a store credit that I will never use. Very underhanded. This should have been clear when I purchased the item. $76.85 in my pocket is better than $76.85 in the garbage can.

These slippers have stretched so large that I fear they will cause me to trip. They are (now) at least 1.5 sizes larger. Unbelievable. Buyer beware!

While the slipper looks good I couldn't find a good fit. I ordered a size 9 as I am a size 8 1/2 in shoes, I swam in that size, so ordered an 8, same problem. The slipper fit like loose flip flops. Never got the snug fit advertised and gave up. The inside was soft and fluffy, I wish they did fit.

I have had many Wicked Good slippers over the years, so I'm familiar with how these should wear. I was appalled to find that my pair of the Squam Lake slippers didn't hold up. After about a month of wearing them, I noticed that the shearling on the footbed was wearing away fast - and unevenly. One slipper was of a completely different quality than the other, and it looked like there was a year of wear between the two. I was disappointed in quality, so I returned them.

I'm so so disappointed in my purchase this time from L.L.Bean. I purchased a pair of the same exact slippers a year prior and they have held up wonderfully, but this pair that I bought in October has broke down so badly that it is very upsetting for the price that I paid for them for them not to have any support left in them whatsoever. The left foot slipper has broke down on the outside so badly that I cannot even wear them because they are so uncomfortable. I have gone back to wearing the pair that I had prior to these because the new pair are so uncomfortable and and absolutely no support left in them with in three months time frame. It would be nice if I could get a new pair but I doubt if that is possible

They are beautiful. The lining is soft and luxurious. Sadly, the arch is uncomfortable and the soles are too stiff and make walking awkward. I had to return them.

i usually take a 71/2 women's shoe so following reviews that these slippers run small I ordered an 8. Way too big, so reordered a 7. Now still too big and what a pain to have to return again

I waited months to get these in my regular size 8 in red to match the Rob Roy pjs. When I put them on, they looked and felt huge. There was at least an inch and a half extra space behind my heel, and at the same time my foot slid right out of the shoe (they are more like a scuff than a shoe). So disappointing and I had to return them.

Beautiful suede slipper was a bit too big&wide. I wear slippers outside & these are too squishy for that.

Ordered in my regular size, 8. The slipper was just too big enough that it slipped off my heel (also the lowish back didn't help). Also wasn't crazy about the thick, hard sole. Returned to the store, and tried on another style--the Wicked Good Moccasins--in size 7. These were slightly tight in front, but I figured they would loosen as I wore them, which they have. The sole is not as hard, which I prefer. The colors of both were really nice--the red for the Squam Lake, and the Charcoal Blue for the moccasins.

I had purchased these slipper a year ago and they were fine in the beginning but it wasn't long before the left one hurt my toes and the right one collapsed near the side. I had to go to an Orthopedic doctor for my feet. He told me that my problem was what I was wearing on my feet. Unfortunately I had already ordered this new pair, now I must return them. The right slipper is larger than the left and my toes slide down to the end of the slippers, which is very painful. They are not the quality that I expect for LLBean and I am very disappointed.

I returned first pair because of this problem. LL Bean lady thought it might be manufacturing defect. Unfortunately the second pair had exactly the same problem. I can feel a hard raised lump with the bottom of my right foot. The hard spot is in the arch area but towards the outer area of the foot. Too uncomfortable to live with especially because they are $79.

I usually wear a 9.5. After reading the reviews many of which said this product runs large, I went down half a size. The 9 is still WAY too large, the heel just lifts right off the slipper. I probably needed an 8. It's really not right that LLBean charges for return shipping when their sizing is so off. I'm obviously not going to take the risk and exchange this for an 8 as they charge $6.50 for return shipping every time.

Slipper is quite wide (I do not have narrow feet). Your foot slips off the base of the slipper when you walk. It caused me to trip. Very dangerous shoe. Also terrible that you must pay to return poor fitting item.
