It runs a little tight and short for my family- returning 2 out of 3

The sleeves are not lined with flannel And when you first put it on your arms freeze On the other hand the stitching fit and finish are impeccable so far So how it holds up, which should be forever because its over 2x what i pay for at other premium clothiers

This isn't really a "heavyweight" swearshirt. It's a nice material, but no thicker than your average good-quality sweatshirt. And the lining in the sleeves makes it feel colder than if they were lined with regular sweatshirt material. It's an ok swearshirt; definitely not worth $90. Maybe $60, not $90.

This should be priced lower. For it's price point, I expected it to be warmer. The flannel is very thin. I like the polyester lining in the sleeves as it feels smooth on the skin when you move your arms around and doesn't chafe. It is extremely comfortable and soft and feels great to wear, just don't expect it to be a cold weather sweatshirt. Thicker, heavier sweatshirts you can go outside for 10-15 minutes without being frozen. I went out on a 39 degree day with a north wind off Lake Michigan and was freezing cold immediately while wearing this. I had to go put a coat over the sweatshirt. It's a nice base layer. Warmth = 3 stars Price = 2 stars Comfort = 5 stars Don't get me wrong this is the most comfortable sweatshirt I have, but I was expecting it to be warm and comfortable. If you are okay paying this much money for comfort then go for it.

I should have read the fine print where it said the sleeves are lined with polyester material. I was under the impression the entire hoodie is line with flannel, but it's only the trunk and hood. I waited weeks for this to come back into stock and still like it, but I only wear it outside due to the lining in the sleeves, which is disconcerting because I'm a hoodie type of guy. Oh well, I'll read the fine print next time. Or maybe you all could just start lining the entire hoodie with flannel, because I'm guessing I won't be the only one with this complaint.

I ordered a tall expecting it to have extra length and it was much too short. The material seemed great quality, but the sizing was off.

Comfortable. Soft flannel. Warm for mildly cool fall days. Fits well. Comes out nice from wash. Zip is not the best; bumpy in middle. Thought of returning because of zip. Compared to other Bean products (like their sweaters which are priced very reasonably) it is highly expensive for the value it provides. Compared to other name brand quality sweatshirts, it is seriously overpriced at $89.

I have purchased 2 of the previous heavier weight Katahdin Iron Works style sweatshirts which I loved wearing as late fall, early winter jackets. I wear a XL-Tall and had I not lost 20 pounds this summer this one would have been too tight in the mid section. Also, the length of the sleeves are the same but the body is about 3 inches shorter than my previous coats. Lastly, the price increased from $84 in 2019 for the heavier coat to $99 for this lighter weight smaller version.

A 2x tall normally fits very well. This jacket was snug in the arms and chest. Very nice jacket otherwise.

Really wanted to love this sweatshirt, and I almost do, with the big exception of the sleeves. I don't usually wear a long sleeve t shirt so I was really disappointed with the plastic feeling inner liner on these sleeves. While the pitch is that it makes it easier on and off with long sleeves (not sure anyone really struggled with this) I would much rather have the soft flannel on my arms. Not a fan of the feeling of how it sticks to my skin when you get a little warm.

I like roominess of men's fit and have always loved this jacket...until this order. Jacket is too snug. I'm very disappointed that kangaroo-pocket is only in one (right-side) pocket. Medium would be too big. Sadly, I must return it. Why would LL Bean change a classic? Only item I've purchased that I haven't been thrilled about.

We were very excited that (we thought) LL Bean had brought back the Katahdin jacket-like sweatshirts that we had loved so much. These are lovely, but still not the same. We checked the labels. The original one has insulation. This one does not, making it a pretty expensive, yet another variation on, an LL Bean sweatshirt. Oh, and the original one didn't have the LL Bean branding on the front. Returning.

The sleeves are no longer flannel lined. The lining used instead is not comfortable, especially when wearing a short sleeve shirt. Also it's now cut very large and baggy in the body. Why change a good thing? Very disappointed.

I didn't realize the sleeves aren't lined with flannel. So while the core of the sweatshirt has a soft flannel lining, the sleeves have a slippery polyester lining that is MUCH worse. I don't know why they would do this. It kind of ruins the garment for me.

The polyester sleeves ruin this sweatshirt. I finally cut them out, and it's the perfect sweatshirt now. I will need to stitch the ends of the flannel lining to keep it from fraying, and keep an eye on the cuffs to make sure nothing comes apart. I am really leaving this review in the hope that LL Bean sees they almost have the perfect sweatshirt, and just need to remove the itchy, uncomfortable link in the sleeves.

I bought this fleece in 2023. Within a year, the inner sleeve lining came off. I even emailed customer service, but no one got back to me. I hope this review gets posted; they don't delete it. I have the same fleece from before the pandemic, and it is still in good condition. It seems they have lowered their quality standards. Now, I see that even the pocket lining is having issues. So, I am not sure if this is worth the money. The store is far from us, so I haven't had a chance to go there.

The zipper failed after putting the jacket on once.

This is a very comfortable and good looking product, but within a week both the lining on both sleeves had separated, sadly we will have to bring it back. Hoping it was just an isolated issue.

This is the 2nd one for me. I had for several years. The new one is being returned. Its MUCH lighter than the original. Not even close in weight. I had both of them to compare. So disappointed and i have buying LL Bean for close to 55 years

I do not like the feel of Taffeta-lined sleeves. I would prefer to have the sleeves Flannel-Lined like the rest of the sweatshirt.

I'm 6 ft tall and this was too short on my hips and sleeves. I was disappointed at how short the waste was as well. Not your best outing LL Bean.

Just what I wanted... if it had fit. The arms were maybe 3 inches too long. Just nowhere closet to fitting. I'm curious to meet anyone my height (5'6") who has arms that long. (Also, I agree with other commenters, that this could be improved if the arms were also flannel-lined.)

High quality just like everything else I buy from you folks!

This is the first time I've purchased an item from llbean and been disappointed in it. I have a Katahdin lined hooded sweatshirt that I bought maybe 10 years ago. Always liked it but its showing its age and I decided its time for a new one. The new on is not as heavy at the old. I really didn't notice until out in colder weather with some wind recently. Comparing the tags everything is the same except the older one has 100% polyester insulation that the new one does not. It won't be suitable for when I got to the mountains. Even when layered up a bit. Have to use the older one for that. Not up to my expectations.
