I’ve been hiking for four years, long distance hiking for the last year, and these are by FAR the best hiking shoes I’ve ever owned. They are super solid and take a beating, but hold up better than I expected. Super light but still super supportive, they made 15+ miles feel like 5+ miles. They’re even better than my speed goats, honestly. I’m doing the MA AT this summer and there is zero question about which shoes I’m taking— these.

GGoGoBe specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

Probably the warmest shoes I have ever had walking on ice all day with medium thickness socks. Super comfortable. Had one toe bend area pull back but were replaced right away by Zappos.

Decent tough shoes. I tend to destroy shoes and these have taken the abuse well. Solid all around option. Stepped off a trail and drenched them on trip. I was able to dry them quite quickly thanks to a hotel hair dryer for the next day. Was sure I would have to buy new shoes but nope. Only downside is Italian (meh).

It was simply too large given suggested size of established Salewa sizing to use with Asolo too. Kool colors but just believed it didn’t offer enough feature to justify its pricing, especially as compared to a Salewa shoe

These shoes are NOT waterproof. I was really disappointed. I had to wear them to figure out they were not waterproof, and I cannot return them for a full refund. I had a pair of asolo before and they were great shoes. If you want a waterproof shoe, DO NOT buy these.
