I live in NYS and am constantly cold from November until March. This year I bought these LL Bean mid-weight tops and bottoms to wear when the weather gets closer to freezing. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I am no longer cold. The shirt is comfortable and fits me well. I recommend this product for anyone who needs warmer undergarments than what is usually sold in the stores as layering.

I have always loved LL Bean. I'm a regular customer so I know medium usually fits me. Live in MD suburbs from DC. I am one of those always cold people. The midweight layer is too warm if your wearing in 40 weather, it's really good when we had snow with 28 to 30 weather. I work in a doctor's office where it is always cold. Texture is different not as soft but no problem for me and it's for the warmth. If you have texture issues with clothes you might not like it. It fits really well under scrubs, It is snug but not tight. That's why I kept warm in cold weather under scrubs. The light weight layer is very silky smooth and warm for 40 degree weather. Quality is always top notch I never put it in the dryer though just to keep its quality.

I purchased the midweight long underwear because my current pairs are wearing thin and I wanted a sturdy quality to keep me warm outdoors in a cool/cold breeze. I can verify that this style works perfectly! Not only that, it also fits perfectly, with no adjustment needed.

I highly recommend this shirt for anyone who wants to stay warm. It was a tad bigger than I expected for a petite large but not too much. I definitely would not have ordered a size down. It feels a bit scratchy and rough each time I first put it on, even after washing, but I immediately stop noticing it when I wear it. My skin is sensitive to scratchy material so for me to stop noticing it means it's not bad at all.

I like wearing it on a cool fall day . It does wick moisture away from the body . I like the way it fits .

I now have two of these. It works great as a pj top with leggings or a regular shirt. Well made!

comfortable and stayed the same size after washing

This is a great shirt! The fabric is so comfortable and has a silky quality. It stretches and fits very well. The blue color is beautiful. It is not too thick as a layer for under other layers. I use it as a sleep shirt with PJ bottoms because it is warm on a cold night. It's great as a layer or by itself.

Love this mid weight top for the colder days I go out walking my dog! Sometimes just enough under my LL Bean down jacket. Love the thumbholes if you want to keep part of your hands warm without gloves. Nice soft material!

Heavier than I expected, liked it.

My husband bought this (and the matching leggings) for me for Christmas ... they are wonderful! Both the top and leggings fit perfectly. I'm 52 years old and tend to get over-heated easily but these pieces keep me cozy and comfy without getting heated up. I really appreciate the thumb hole - so easy to pull something on over the base top. Easy to care for in the laundry and they hold their shape. I just wish there were more colors available - I would buy them all!

Since I have never ordered "underwear" From LL Bean I did not know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that this top fit perfect. The right amount of stretch and warmth you would expect from an under layer without being baggy or itchy like old fashioned "long johns". I will be buying another in a different color.

This keeps me warm without adding bulk.

This mid weight base layer was the perfect accessory for cool evenings. It is very comfortable and the thumb holes/holds make putting a jacket on easy. I would purchase this item again, or have a few on hand for the cooler weather.

I really like this top. The fabric has a beautiful texture. It's soft, and fits perfect. It's just right on a cold day alone or under a shirt or jacket. I think these shirts are very stylish and so does my husband. I would love to see the tops in colors other than black and wine, like maybe grey, ivory, pink, etc.?

Not itchy and nice insulating layer. I need another one! Appreciate the length of the torso so that I can tuck it in.

Normally wear a small but went with the XS after reading past reviews....glad I did, it's not a perfect fit (I'd like it about an inch longer on my mind) but the fit is good and it is warm. 5'4 118lbs

Love these base layers for the colder weather. I have several petite small- length is good. Very cozy to wear. Wash and dry well. Color isn't very interesting. More color choices would be really nice- a red, orange, green.
