I tried the shoe because my roommate loves them and recommended them. I went to a store that had some so I could try them on and I'm glad I did because the ones recommended on the site did not fit well. I then signed up for a membership and bought the shoes, the extended return policy made buying an easier decision. The shoe has a nice fit. It took me a little time to get used to them because I think my old shoes had lost most of the support but now that they are broken in, they are working well. They are comfortable and offer just the right amount of support.

The shoe is lightweight and comfortable and I like the flat shoelaces. I use them for all different types of workouts and maybe it is just the style of shoe but it is difficult to balance on one foot due to the way the underside of the shoe is shaped. I do a lot of cross training and part of that is balance training. I also don't like how my foot slides in the shoe even when tied tightly. The inner shoe is made with sleek material I guess. I don't know. Overall would buy again but maybe just a different style for what I'm using it for.

This is my third time trying to find a style/model with enough cushion to power walk and I haven't had much luck. One shoes feels like it has more cushion than the other. Just an odd feel.

I bought a pink pair of Solimar and think they are great except that they feel a bit tight in the toe area.

These shoes are comfortable and lightweight. I bought two pair in different colors, and I'm keeping both.

These make my 7th pair of HOKA since May! Lol
About his pair... first the color is rich and totally in the spirit of Fall.
Secondly, I am impressed with the comfort despite the fact that this is one of the thinner soles(which I ) They are perfect for me. I have back & knee problems in other shoes and I am constantly on my feet at work and these shoes makes it feel like I've been sitting.
If there was something I'd change, it would be the Hoka placement and the color. Of course that has nothing to do with the effectiveness of the shoe. I can definitely tell the difference between the Transport, the Challenger and these Solimars.
All work for me and I suggest you add these to your collection.

I work on my feet all day and need good support. This style doesn't seem to give me quite as much support as the Bondi or Clifton.

They run narrower than my other Hokas. Still soft, but feel tight in the toe box. Using just for gym workouts, definitely not going to my running shoe. Will stick to their other styles.

These shoes were very comfortable the minute I put them on. I have high arches and my feet hurt in most tennis shoes after a few hours of walking. I wore these to Disney World the very first week I had them and my feet did not start hurting until I had been walking for 5-6 hours. It is my first pair of Hokas but certainly will not be my last.

I have problem feet. Low arch, over pronation, plantar fasciitis. You name it! I love Hokas but when I found Solimar it was like my A-ha! Moment. I use them for gym and daily use, also for travel. They see extremely comfortable, my feel dont hurt when using them. Is a bit of walking on clouds. I also have a pair of other brand that is supposed to compare. Not to me. This model is perfect for me. So much I have 3 colors!

I use Hoka Solimar's for jogging and fitness walking. The fit, cushion level, and overall ergonomics are outstanding. I had problems with a competitors running shoe not fitting well in the heel cup, but these fit perfectly!

I returned the first pair for the same thing in a wide. Even though the new shoes are wider, they are cut narrow at the top. I would like to try a different style but it will now allow me to return these.
I really like the Hokas I have worn but this style does not fit my foot.

I had to return a pair of Hoka's due to the rubber on the bottom pealing off and replaced them with these. They are comfortable and cushioned for everyday support. The reason for 4 star is that they show dirt easily because of the light color and I wish there was more cushioning on the heal. My feet are flat though and I may just need a more supportive shoe and this could be perfect for others who have a good arch.

My husband and I are avid walkers and hikers and he has had a pair of Bondi's for some time (he LOVES them) and wanted me to get a pair and I finally did. They are very comfortable, well cushioned and I am so happy I got them. We are defiantly a HOKA family from now on!
P.S. PLEASE make more extra wide selections for men, my husband has awful feet and needs them.
Thanks

These are great. They run narrow which is why I bought them. Other Hokas are a little wide for me. I wish they had a little more cushion, but I'm happy. I like the more subtitle styling at well.

This shoe is still a little narrow even though it is considered wide. It runs long. Other than that, it is good for lifting and HIIT.

I really love these Solimar sneakers. I previously purchased the clifton 8 last year, and they are also very comfortable but for running around town or going shopping these Solimar are the ticket. They are light weight and NOT bulky. When taking my daily long walks I wear the Clifton and for out and about I wear the Solimar. Both great!
