These are great for HIIT and cross training, like orange theory or gtx at lifetime. Seriously love them!

I have been trying on various footbeds to see which one I like this shoe I like for uneven ground and dirt trails

These are the cutest shoes and look great on BUT they squeak like an old staircase. It's embarrassing and I've got to just throw them way. If you order, I hope you have a better experience.

My daughter got a new job and was on her feet all day. She got these shoes and it really helped alleviate her leg and foot pain.

In the never ending pursuit of an all-purpose shoe for Orange Theory classes, I purchased the Solimar. My normal shoe size is 7.5B; I bought a 7.5 and an 8 based on comments that the Solimar runs narrow and recommendations to size up. Because the shoe is a neutral shoe, it's a good solution for my very high arches and supination. I like the shoe for its weight, look and moderate cushioning. It's not as plush as the Clifton (my favorite running shoe); however, the Clifton I find is too spongy for lifting. The shoe does run narrow; however, a larger size simply added length that I didn't need. The shoe upper is stretchy so when cinched in snuggly, it definitely doesn't look wide enough since my toes are bulging out of the shoe. Because it's so flexible, I don't feel a lot of support during lateral movements. I returned the 8 (Oh my gosh the return process couldn't be easier!) and kept the 7.5. I didn't have the same issue as others commented regarding the tongue of the shoe being irritating. I like the shoe but am still on the hunt for a better all-purpose shoe. I tried a couple of times to upload a picture to show bulging toes but the site just kept spinning.

First time trying Hoka. Never wanted to before until I saw the thinner sole of Solimar. I have a narrow foot and I’m happy that they seem more narrow than most sneakers. Very lightweight. But I have a high arch and I don’t feel there is much support in the overall footbed. Very hard, little cushion/support. I like the fact that they don’t scream sneaker. May keep them for just casual wear, but not my first choice for daily walking.

At first I thought - these are great, but as soon as I started actually doing things I realized that there is not enough foot support for me. Too squishy for work outs like TRX, boot camp, or weights. I need more full foot support. I returned them.

I ordered these in December and have worn them almost daily. After just two months, I noticed a hole in the inner heel area. I've never had this issue with other brands and didn't expect it from Hoka, especially given the price. I expected better quality and am disappointed.

I prefer the Clifton and the Bondi for long walks and shopping. The Solimar is good for local errands. I am currently waiting for delivery of two pairs of Bondi.

The shoes are beautiful. Lots of compliments. The sad thing is after standing or walking for my shift at work I have two blisters on one foot and my feet hurt. I can't wear them for work which is why I bought them. A lot of money for shoes to be worn for a quick outing

Not as comfortable as my Bondi 6, Bondi 7 and Clifton , very little support. Okay to use them for shopping and errands, not for long walks.

I've bought 4 iterations of hokas, and this one is just not up to par. I like the plain black styles with the less of a sole, but the ones ive liked in the past have been discontinued. This one fits the physical description of what i like, but the insert feels hard, and the fabric around the ankle was super rough, like if i wasnt wearing a soc that fully covered my ankle, i was going to feel it. That just doesnt happen with my other pairs, that fabric is much more silky. I get that it is one of their cheapest pair, but it still costs 125---i expect more. Unfortunately I wore them a couple of times and got caught in a torrential downpour, so I cant return them. I would NOT recommend this style.

Fits longer than other Hoka styles, yet feels narrower in the toe box. Doesn’t really feel like a Hoka. Not as cushiony or supportive

I had plantar fasciitis and the HOKA Solimar is the only comfortable sneaker for me. I recently ordered my third pair in white and wear with my orthotics and love them. They have more of a contour fit which is perfect for me and run true to size.

I'm originally from Seattle, so I love Brooks shoes, but this is my second pair of Hokas and I LOVE them. They are comfy, lightweight, and great for both running and walking. They have awesome support. They fit true to size. I will say with the tread that these are more for roads/paved areas than true hiking areas where you may need more grip.
