I've had 3 bondi. Only shoes that have had a thick and padded enough sole for my arthritis. The problem is I really wear AAA width ( with a AAAA heel in a perfect world). I use Orthoheel
Active inserts for pronation and to fill up the shoe and then wear thick wool socks for best fit. I'm recovering from an ankle injury and the movement I have in the bondi isn't safe for me anymore. I ordered N in New Balance, Brooks and asics and I could feel my forefoot bones on the floor, yikes! So I started investigating the Hoka site and Kawana reviews kept coming up
as "too narrow" and they were plush! So I got them and they do fit much narrower (still with inserts and thick socks but I have to tie them so tight, I can't wear all day) and my bones are pain free. Hooray! HOKA! PLEASE
REMAKE THE KAWANA INTO YOUR FIRST
NARROW SHOE!!! YOU WILL MAKE SO MUCH HAPPINESS AND EXPAND YOU FAN
BASE TOO!

Bondi was not for me, but one exchange later I've found the right amount of cushion & stability to keep me moving and completely stop my hamstring from barking at me.

The Kawana is my new favorite running shoe. My first pair of Hokas was the Clifton 8 which blew me away--I'd been dealing with plantar fasciitis which suddenly turned me into a cross country coach who could no longer run. Along with doing the other things necessary to heal PF, I added the Clifton 8s, and after almost a year of not being able to run, I was back to running almost daily. The Kawana's however, have more padding in the middle foot area than the Clifton's, and that's exactly what I need. They are just fabulous. I ran in trail shoes of a different brand the other day and came home in pain (including knee aches). I ran on asphalt in my Hokas and never felt any pain anywhere--and I ran further on that road run than I had on the trail. I'm definitely a Hoka believer and a Kawana girl from here forward.

I love this shoe, after long clinical days my feet don't ache! They were a little tight but I figured they just need to be broken in!

I have other Hoka shoes for running and trails, but this shoe is amazing for walks and casual outings. So comfy. Puts a spring in my step. Fits my wider feet which is a BIG a plus!

I use these for workouts and walking and they are great. I thought I would regret not getting the extra thick ones but No, these have great support for my knees .

I don't wanna brag or anything but since getting these shoes I've been beating my average mile time by a whole minute! My only thing is which I'm hoping breaking them in more will fix it as I feel like it's a little too snug on the top of my feet so I keep the laces a little looser than normal But maybe it's because it's so brand new and overtime it will flex out. My knees don't hurt while running anymore and it's been over a month with this purchase. Will be buying another pair soon.

I walk city streets which can be rough and uneven, but I know these shoes will not fail me. It's amazing that shoes can be lightweight and strong, and very good looking.

I have had about six pairs of Hokas and have loved each pair. In my previous job I wore them every day, working on me feet all day long, with special needs students. These are remarkably comfortable, no break in needed. These may be the best pair yet.

I own 8-9 pair of Hoka shoes. I love all of them. In fact I have several models in different colors. I love all of them. The Kawana do run a bit large so if you are not doing heavy walking or running you may want to size down. I like a little extra room plus I use my shoes for walking and running so I stayed with my normal size. I suffer from plantar fasciitis and the Hoka line-up are one of the few shoes that provide relief. For me they are worth the price.

I work on my feet for over 12 hours a day. The kind of hours that you feel ok until you sit down for the drive home and when you get out of your car can't walk. My feet hurt so bad I wanted to crawl to my front door. I tried several top brands and they felt the same. The Hokas I bought give me the ability to skip to front door after a long day. Truly impressed.

I work in a hospital so I'm constantly on my feet. To be honest, I didn't know how I felt about these shoes after the first day because my heel hurt pretty badly during my shift. Go through the pain though, it's worth it. I absolutely love my Hoka's. They're soooo comfortable and huge perk that they come in so many different colors. 100% worth the price.
