I'm very happy the Hoka Gaviota 4 came in a Women's wide. My two biggest problems with shoes are finding a wide enough toe box and a high enough arch. The wide width in the Gaviota 4 makes a great fit for my difficult feet. The arch support wasn't quite enough, but with my favorite third-party inserts, these shoes are almost perfect. My only complaint is that the tongue is a bit stiff and digs into the front of my ankle somewhat. Other than that, they're fantastic.

These seem a little shorter than my Bondi 7, but they're comfortable for my purposes, so I kept them. I bought them as a stability shoe, as I'm told I over-pronate. I would have liked a slightly higher arch support, but overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

I've been wearing Bondi 7 for awhile and thought I'd try another wide style. I found the wide width of the Gaviota fine, but the sole was a little more firm and I missed the cushion of the Bondi. Nice shoes but returned .

Hokas were recommended by my podiatrist. This pair feels very comfy and cushy. I stand all day at work, though, and by the end of the day I couldn't wait to remove them. My husband describes it as fitting so firmly around the foot that it might be too much. I'm not sure. I know that I LOVE these for my walks and for short excursions. I won't try wearing them all day at work again, though--even though they were supposedly made for standing all day.

I originally ordered my normal size and the size of my current Hoka's. The shoe was 1/4-1/2 size to small. I returned the shoes for the next 1/2 size up.
The replacement size is OK, but I don't think the new Hoka's are the same quality of the pair I ordered a few years back. Disappointed as this brand was originally recommended by my podiatrist, and I found them to be the best shoe I owned.

My husband purchased the Giovotta for me. I like the Bondi but wanted to try another style. The Giovotta fits good and are comfortable.

First of all let me say that this is a quality shoe that looks amazing and is true to size. I have been wearing Brooks Adrenaline's for years. My recent Brooks purchase made me wondering if they changed that shoe because it no longer fit my foot right. So on a referral of a friend, I tried the Hoka's. This shoe didn't fit my feet either, so I'm coming to the conclusion that my feet have changed. The reason I deducted a star was because I felt they were 'clunky' to wear and they were pretty pricey. Wish I would've tried these when my feet were "normal."

Seam along foot bed a little noticeable, but otherwise perfect shoe for a plus sized person.

I really like these Hokas I have purchased 3 other kinds for myself and others for my husband. I have troubled feet so I bought these hoping they would help for my long days at work. I purchased the Arahi 6 and they were too narrow for being a wide fit so I returned them and purchased these. Although I like these I think the Arahi 6 were a better fit for my over pronunciation. I also would like to mention that when I got these in the mail I noticed one shoe lace being longer then the other so I have to return them to get a new pair which is pretty inconvenient but other then that I would recommend these shoes and brand.

I have had several pairs of hoka arahis and it seems hoka decided to lower the support of those shoes, something is definitely different snd not as supportive. The difference in the arahi 2 and 4 is vast. So I decided to try the Gaviota as it’s supposed to have even more support than the arahi. I can tell there is good support in the heel but essentially not much support in the instep. Im really disappointed. Im going to give these a try as im on my feet a lot and on concrete and other reviews seem positive. But im really frustrated at Hoka for changing whatever they’ve changed in the Arahi in the first place, causing me to try a different shoe. When you get a good thing dont change the basics! This is so frustrating. Anyway, i was really expecting a lot more support for the instep, im almost flat footed but i still like some support there and there isn’t much even for my low instep. But im going to give these a try. I really love the colors, I got the gray with the blue, orange snd pink accents.

I removed their inner soles and added my own orthotics. I purchased a wide, good, but the back near the ankle is a bit blurry g. Not a deal breaker. Great support.

My first pair of Hokas was the Solimar and I fell in love with the brand. I did fill out the questionnaire and wanted a little more support so I chose the Graviota. I need a wide shoe and I can wear them with thinner socks. They just aren't as wide as the Solimar.

Although next day shipping did not update me t tracking this purchase nor that it arrived alongside customer device not caring, the actual purchase was great. These are by far the most comfortable sneakers ever worn. Cushioning is alittle thickener than normal, so thinner socks are remcommended.

I love Hoka shoes and always wear them in the gym. This is my fourth pair.
But the pair of Hoka shoes that was bought last year, after I wore.only a couple of months, the inner layer of the heal became cracked and damaged and the plastic part can be seen. I was very disappointed, but bought another pair a couple weeks ago. I hope this pair will wear better.

I bought these because Hoka says they are "plush" cushioning, but I found them to be less cushioned than the Bondis which I've been wearing for years. I bought my usual size (7) but they seem a bit shorter in length and they also seem smaller through the front of the foot - not so much the width but the height above the toes. They might be ok if I bought the next size, but I'm returning them and sticking with the Bondis.

I bought the Hoka brand based on my orthopedist's recommendation. I have plantar fasciitis in one and tendinitis in both feet. The Gaviota 4 feels great on and doesn't have that bulky appearance like some other orthopedic shoes I've purchased. I love that you can wear them as you normally would and have 30 days to return if they don't work for you. My only complaint is the sizing. I purchased my usual size 9 but they seem too short. I figured I'd go to a retail store to try on a 9.5 before exchanging them to make sure they were a better fit. Low and behold the 9.5 in the store was smaller than my 9 purchased online. The saleperson at Comfort One said she had no idea why.

So I got them in my regular size 7 and the width of them kind of reminds me of clown shoes. I wear them of course because the fit otherwise is great. That's the only reason I took off a star.
