I love the Gaviotas, the best walking shoe I have ever worn. I have been waiting for the Gaviota 4, you finally got the all black, but am waiting for the wide width. Please hurry.

LOVE these shoes. I love my gaviota 2s very much and the 3s didn't fit my feet right. I'm so glad I gave the 4s a try! I did end up buying a half size bigger than I did for the 2s - my toes were pinched but with a half size larger, my feet are now in Hoka Heaven! :-) I like the black color - it will go with a lot more than my old teal ones. It's worth the price to make my troubled feet happy (over pronation and RA damage).

I have the Gaviota 3 and love them because of my need for orthodics (I don't have to use them in these shoes). I wear a size 11.5 in womens and have always had to purchase my tennis shoes in mens, because vary few merchants carry womens over a size 10. I read the reviews and many said these ran small, so ordered them in a womens 12. Perfect fit, very comfortable, look great and bonus - no orthodics needed. Like the other reviews, I would love them in something other than black - but I am confident that HOKA will hear the call. Thanks HOKA - you make a great shoe!

Really love these. They are really comfortable and provide support. I know people want them in other fun colors but make them in grey! The neutral colors like grey, white, and black and white are suitable for some work places that have uniform.

I loved the Gaviota 2 and had several pair with the lPurple being my favorite. Then the G3 came out and didn't work for me at all. So happy to see a G4 and hoping they will be as awesome as the G2 and that they come in fun colors again.

I am a nurse. I had the wide Bondi and read these would be better for nursing. I did get the wife again because I have bunions. I feel they aren't as wide as the Bondi. The Bondi was a little more comfortable while on my feet all day. These are still comfortable but not as.

The color was great, but I needed more cushion for my problem feet. I will return to the Bondi 8 shoe for maximum cushion.

I am not a runner. Told not to run by my orthopedic 20 years ago due to horrible knee issues. I currently have a pretty bad case of plantar fasciitis going on, probably related to the knee issues. These were recommended by my PT. The cushioning really seems to be helping with the heel pain and they seem to have enough support in my arches.

I bought these shoes with the recommendation they'd be good for heel pain. While they have good support, I can't say they've helped my heel pain. Rather disappointing considering the price.

Bondi has been my go to, but tried this Gaviota because it says "plush." I am a tall, size 12 foot woman. My big rescue dog and I walk 2-3 brisk miles almost daily. (16 to 17 min miles) I always got shin splints with any shoe prior to the Bondi. Gaviota LOOKS nicer not the huge "Frankenstein feet" profile of the Bondi, BUT definitely NOT as plush. I get some knee pain that I don't experience in the Bondi. Keeping them for casual wear, but not our "hikes." Also they seem to run a bit shorter.

I don't care so much for the powder blue color. These don't fit as well as the Bondi.

I have a non wide foot and a neutral gait. I used to wear the Clifton but even the regular is too wide now. I don't understand that since the Clifton comes in a designated wide? On the hunt for a new model. My knees hurt badly after a workout while wearing the Gaviota 4. It is a heavy shoe. The Rincon works best for me. To each their own when it comes to Hoka. Trial and error unfortunately.

I really liked these shoes, provided excellent stability. I just needed more cushioning for my particular foot conditions.

Definitely well made- fixed my sore feet and plantar fasciitis in one week. But not wide enough for me- I still love them just wish they made a wide shoe- buy 1/2 size bigger!

These shoes seem comfortable and were helful on my last two weeks on the road, but had to continually make adjustments to the laces to accommodate the width of my feet. Not a lot of width room in the toe box.

Although I can tell that these shoes are very well made, walking in them gave me a weird feeling of being unbalanced, and it almost felt like me heel was lower than the front of my foot. I already had balance problems, so gave these away.

This shoe feels very stable but almost too much so. The sole is quite stiff, which maybe good for serious runners. But I walk and the stiffness was too much for me. I opted for the Arahi 6, which allows for a more rocking step, with the same amount of stability for pronation.

I'm a big fan of the Gaviota 3 so when the Gaviota 4 came out and I needed a fresh pair it seemed to be a no-brainer. However they've changed the design of the shoe - the forefoot is noticeably wider (I checked the box in case I was sent a Wide and not a Medium but I wasn't) and there is no arch support! I went back to my old, worn-out Gaviota 3's to make sure I wasn't crazy, and the old pair still had better support than the brand-new pair! Very disappointed. Returned.

I have been a long standing Bondi fan. But, I thought I would try the Gaviota. It just doesn't feel as plush as I like. Just not my favorite.

I have several pairs of Hoka's; Bondi 7's, Gaviato 3's, and recently the Gaviato4s. I LOVE LOVE my Bondi 7s and the Gaviato 3s. I had a pair that I returned under warranty and was given the option to buy new Gaviato 4s. The cushion is NOT the same!! These are stiff and clumpy. I am really disappointed in them. But because of the exchange I feel like I don't have option. I work on my feet for long hours and I need the most plush of shoes for comfort. My daughter has several pairs of Hoka's and she too said the Bondi 8s changed in comfort as well. Not sure if Hoka has changed their inner lining? I would recommend trying on shoes for comfort instead of direct buying online like I did. I will keep searching, maybe another type will have the comfort I am looking for and once had. Will buy Hoka's again but not the all black Gaviato 4's.
