Hokas are the BEST shoes for the walking I do. This is my fourth pair. I can't recommend them highly enough. I am so grateful to have found this brand. I NEVER have foot pain and feel like I'm walking on a cloud from the first to the last step on my daily, 6+ mile walks.

Not a runner - just a middle aged gal with a touch of arthritis and plantar. I tried on every Hoka at a local store and would up ordering the color I wanted from web site. I feel like I'm walking on supportive pillows

Let's face it. A hoka isn't the most stunning sneak but these in yellow are just adorable. I get compliments all the time. I just love them and will probably buy a second pair since I wear them all the time.

Love hoka shoes But there are not many Color options for people with wider feet they are not the only ones guilty of this but it's very disappointing when you need a new pair of shoes and you're paying high dollar prices to get a quality pair and you can only choose between three colors because you have wider feet meanwhile the standard has eight it would just be nice to have a few more options

This is my second pair of Hokas. I am not an athlete by any means. I'm 60 and my feet hurt all the time. My podiatrist recommended Hokas to me because I have peripheral neuropathy and also plantar fasciitis. The foot bed is cushy and supportive. The sole on the wide version is actually wide and stable. And the colors are on trend. So I now own 2 pair (within the last 6 months) and I can't say enough about the comfort and performance. I wear them all day and my feet are much improved.

Comfortable shoe, fits well, provides good balance. Feet don't get as tired or hurt as much if I am on them the majority of the day.

Luckily I tried 3 sizes. Normally I'm an 8.5 M. They were too short in the toe and narrow. Tried the 9M, they were still a little too short in the toe and a hint too narrow. So surprise, surprise, ordered an 8.5 Wide, which actually turned out to be 8.5D when I unpacked them, yes D width, the description didn't mention Wide was a D width. However, they proved to be the right fit, the arch is in the right spot, the toebox gives me a thumb width from my toes to the end of the shoe. the width is just right and accommodates an athletic light weight ankle sock as well as a thicker tennis-type Thorlo ankle sock. They look kinda clunky on me in overall terms, but the tread will be great for walking/exercising in all kinds of conditions, won't be slippery in wet conditions, appear to be sturdy and I hope to get long term wear.

I’ve been a dedicated fan of Hoka Arahi tennis shoes ever since I was introduced to them by REI. I wear them daily in my job as an ARNP as they provide amazing support and comfort running throughout the hospital. I bought this pair for daily casual wear off the job. I’ve worn ASICS for the past 20 yrs for good reason but will never bo back after discovering these :)
I'd also recommend:

Looking for post bunionectomy extra-depth shoe to accommodate swelling. I over pronate, so need a stability shoe. I like New Balance; bought 860. Nice, but felt heavy. My orthopedic surgeon recommended Hoka. The Hoka for over pronaters is Arahi. So comfy, lighter than the 860s. Same price, so the NB was returned.
I wear size 6.5-7. Tried both and kept the 7.
One star off for style. Because of the depth and wide toe box, shoes look a bit clunky despite their light weight. Styling rather plain and blah colors. But I am going for function vs. fashion, and this fits the bill.
I'd also recommend:
New Balance, Birkenstock, Van's

Great shoe in most aspects. Soft cushioning inside, wide enough toe box, nice big sole for stability. I ordered my usual 7.5 because I ordered a D width, however, it's a bit snug with my thick footies. Next time I'll try an 8. A very nice shoe. I'd like to scream from the rafters, though, that we need more 2E wide shoes! After each pregnancy, my feet widened, and my mother says that all her friends need wide shoes with bunions, etc. I want 2E wide options, not this "C wide" which isn't wide at all for many of us.
I'd also recommend:
Mephisto, New Balance, Chloe

These shoes are super comfy for walking. I love that they come in wide even for the smaller, women's sizes. I do wish that all of the color options were available in the wide sizes, but otherwise I am very pleased.

For the past year I have been running in Bondis, so these were definitely a change. I really love how lightweight these are and the short bread/ fiesta color way is perfect. They do feel a bit narrow but they still are perfectly comfortable for running a few miles in them everyday. Pretty breathable also

This particular style and manufacturer were recommended to me for a pronation problem that was causing me hip pain. I now wear these exclusively due to the pain relief they provide. Love the colors!
