My heels, and arches really needed support. Just period. In the gym, running on concrete or even just walking to the store, whatever. I needed a tennis shoe that would address my feet needing arch support and comfort. I took the online quiz and HOKA recommend the shoe hat would work for me. I love them so much, great investment. I would recommend taking the quiz because they have a variety of options. will more than likely get me another pair for color options. And I get so many compliments on my Hokas.
SIZING: I am a 9, I could've probably gotten an 8 1/2 maybe. there's a little room but I don't mind it. it's nice to not have a shoe rubbing my pinky toes or touching the edge of my big toes.

The Arahi is terrific for folks with foot problems. I have issues with stress fractures which have resolved since my doctor recommended these. Love them so much my husband tried a pair and he loves them too!

My rheumatologist suggested I get this type of walking sneaker due to back, legs and knees issues. Honestly I was being cheap and couldn't make sense of paying so
much money for a pair. Well, due to the pain I experience daily, I figured I would. I've only worn them once so far and that was yesterday. They're so light on your feet and comfortable. I had no aches or pains while wearing them. I will be ordering these types of orthopedic shoes from now on.

Purchased these with a little concern they wouldn't be as cushy as my plusher soled Bondi 8s as the sole is thinner and my Superfeet inserts are little rigid to help my plantar fasciiitis. Well, they are are just as comfortable and stable! No break in period with a perfect fit for my wide feet. My feet felt great after my 12 hours shifts at the hospital.

I have Multiple Sclerosis. I have Terrible problems with my feet. After buying countless pairs of shoes for walking and everyday use I decided to try Hoka. The absolute best pair of shoes I've ever owned and plan on getting another pair.

I have both the Gaviota 4s and the Arahi 6s and I love them both for different reasons. I use the Gaviotas on the treadmill (avg 15-20 miles a week) and the Arahis for everyday and travel walking. The best support for my high arches.

I got these shoes quite recently and have worn them to work, a run, and a long walk. My first day wearing them was to work. I started the day with my feet hurting and ended the day with my feet pain free, astounding given my standing desk and regular walking breaks. Next, I wore them for a thirty minute fast paced run. I have fairly weak ankles and arches and felt no pain or weakness in either, during or after my run. Amazing. Finally, I wore them for a long hike/walk with my dog. They haven't blistered anywhere, they keep my feet cool and comfortable without being freezing in cold temperatures, they support my arches reasonably well, they protect my ankles excellently. My only complaint to date is that after extended use they wear on the inside of my heel, sort of leaving it raw from rubbing I assume. I believe this will fix itself with wear, as they've only seen about 12 hours of use. I leave a five star review because I have never ordered a shoe (that fits first try!) and had it actually relieve pain, not just prevent it. For that, I'm willing to put up with some adjustment time. Thank you Hoka.

I loved my Arahi 5’s, and bought these to replace them. Unfortunately, they are a smidge narrower and due to recent foot surgery, was unable to put them on without pain. I, sadly, had to return them.
I'd also recommend:
Went with Asic’s instead. They had a little wider toe box.

Background, I work on my feet, I walk to work. I have metal plates and pins in my right ankle, they have been there since I was a teenager. I was recently diagnosed with Mueller Weiss syndrome. I have previously worn the Bondi with a lot of comfort, but recently as my foot condition has worsened, and my arch is starting to fall, I still need a supportive shoe, I need stability, but I needed the arch to be a hair lower. The Arahi, is incredibly stable and the arch feels more comfortable on my feet. The stability track in these is great, I have a tendency to roll my foot when it feels crunchy, but the stability track in the shoe keeps my feet rolling front to back and overall being less painful. I do have to lace my shoes differently to keep the tops of my feet comfortable, and this shoe has a smaller tongue, so with my lacing technique change I need to make sure the tongue is pulled up while I tie my shoes. Overall, this shoe seems to be just what I needed. I took them to my last podiatry appointment, and the podiatrist said they are perfect for my condition.
