Been about 7 months, boot is the most comfortable I have worn. I do SAR and law enforcement and on my feet all the time. Major concern is durability the sole is starting to separate from the boot. Too expensive to not hold up better.

My Primary doctor and my Mom's primary doctor recommended HOKA. Unfortunately, I have permanent nerve damage in my left ankle, and the 'tongue' of the shoe is connected to the side/rear of shoe by a "V" shaped portion of material. This portion does not have any elasticity; so it doesn't expand. Also, these shoes made my feet so 'hot' because the fabric is not breathable; I felt like my feet were overheating in heavy plastic containers The bottom of the shoe is amazing, and actually relieved the pounding pain underneath my left foot. HOKA customer service is the very BEST ...they are EXTREMELY HELPFUL I spoke to them for return, and ideas about possible future purchases. Shoe rating: 2-3. Customer Service rating: 10+

This is kind of on me - I gave 3 stars to hopefully help somebody in the same position. I bought these in 12.5 because they did not offer wide. They are tight, especially with my other Hoka's being wide sized, these are just not as roomy for somebody with wide feet. I took a chance and now wish I didn't. I'm going to take them to a cobbler and see if they can stretch them in the toe region to make them a little wider.
Outside of my foot size issues, I do like the shoe, and if I can get them to fit right I would wear them daily for work. I would recommend them to somebody who DOES NOT have wide feet. They are for sure well constructed hiking boots.

I really love the feel of these shoes, but I've only taken them out on the trail 5 times and already one of the treads has broken off and is dangling around. I don't know if that's normal or maybe these are slightly defective, but I guess I'll super glue it back since I spent almost $200 on them. Torn on whether or not I'd recommend.

I like the shoes - even when they are laced the dirt still get in and the tongue is not anchored
Very comfortable

I like the hiking shoe but it is not nearly as comfortable as the Bondi 8 walking shoes I have. I need a waterproof hiking shoe for a trip I'm taking and bought the Trail Code GTX because I liked my walking shoes so much. They are fine and I'll use them but don't offer the same support or comfort.

I like the Trail Code GTX. They are comfortable. I like the SpeedGoat 5 Mid GTX more & if I had kept the box, I would have shipped the Trail Code back for another part of SppedGoats.

I really wanted the speed goat hiking boots but they are nearly impossible to find. I've owned the speed goat's for over a year and wore them out. I wish they were not nearly impossible to find. I went with these and was unable to find them in any store to try them on first. I ordered direct from Hoka taking a chance on the fit and quality. Hoka does make good products so I decided to keep them because I don't have another useable pair.
These are decent but do not match the comfort and grip of the speed goats. They are like vanilla ice cream They are just ok, not really anyone's favorite but good enough that you don't mind them. I would definitely not buy these again and wish the speed goats were easier to find. I don't hate them but honestly don't love them either. They are just ok! I would literally give them 2.5 stars if that was an option

I am disappointed in the level of support this shoe provides, it is really no different than any of the low top models. If you want a high top shoe just for the look of it, then these are fine, however do not expect any additional ankle support from them.

These boots are nice but I expected more insole cushion similar to my 2+2s. A little disappointed!!

Couldn't wait to get these on the trail up here in the Adirondacks! I thought the sizing was good with a decent size toe box, I normally wear a wide in the speedgoats and was nervous about ordering a regular 10 and they fit great! Took them on trail this afternoon and they are comfortable just like the speedgoats, definitely waterproof and kept my feet dry and warm in snow and water. The one issue I had is the uppers were digging in to my ankle when on uneven trails, in my opinion the uppers are too rigid. for that reason I'll unfortunately be returning them and may just go with the Annacapa Lows.

The plastic on the heel was digging into my heel with every step. I returned the shoes.

Upon receiving these I was happy at first. Shoes are light and seemed to be made with quality material. However, first time putting them on I could tell they were very narrow. Foot felt squished immediately and toes were curling in toe box. Also noticed that the material meeting the shoe and heel would curl into your food if you were on an angled surface. Seems like a weak point and does not offer great ankle support. Not sure how they would do on a multi day trip. Will be returning.

These are wonderful, well made, comfortable, good looking. Because you don't offer them in "wide" I bought. 1/2 Size bigger to accomplish the width issue. Alas, it solved the width issue but we're too long, they were like clown shoes on my feet, I couldn't wear them and had to return them, made me very sad as Otherwise I loved them. If you wear regular wodth they are marvelous, to those of us with duck feet, we must wait for wides.

The boot felt weak and that it would not last very long. I hope that Hoka catches up and gets competitive in the hiking boots arena. I ended up returning it. Hoka also needs to start making wide sizes as well. They might see my business for the hiking boot come back if they did.

All of my previous Hoka shoes have remarkable for their support and comfort. Why shouldn't the Trail Codes? I'm preparing for the Shikoku 88 Temple pilgrimage750 miles of pavement and trails. These shoes checked all the boxes for me: Mid-high ankle support, rugged soles, Gortex, and they're Hoka. What could go wrong? The fit, for one thing. I ordered my normal Hoka shoe size (9D). The shoes that arrived were uncomfortably tight across the top of the foot and the fabric had deep folds across the top of the boot even when I was seated with my feet up. The Trail Codes were amazingly uncomfortable even with the laces completely loosened. Maybe I got a defective pair. These were a miss for me and got returned.

I have tried three different pairs of size 14 Trail Code GTX. All three had wrinkles on the top of the toe areas. None of the HOKA photos showed this wrinkle effect. Returned them all.

Love my Hoka walking shoes so I thought I'd give their hiking boots a try. They should stick to shoes. The left boot releases one of the laces nearly every time I wear them. I've tried sinching the laces beyond what I find comfortable but that is oddly tough to do and still doesn't hold the laces. Would not recommend these boots.
