I love these shoes. And for the price, I don't think you can beat this model of HOKA compared to some of the more expensive ones.
DISCLAIMER: I am not an "Everyday Runner". I run maybe 10-15 miles per week either on a treadmill or on pavement/road depending on the weather where I live.
If you are an Everyday Runner, you might want to disregard this review.
With that said, I have what some would call a bit of a shoe buying problem. I buy too many. I own too many pairs. I think I own more pairs of shoes than my wife; not sure. I buy shoes first and foremost for comfort, and secondarily for performance and style. I own several unworn pairs of the classics, mostly from Adidas and Puma. I am "saving them for later", rather than suffering the devastating disappointment of not being able to find them, or realizing there was a manufacturing change, or whatever scenario where I can't get a perfect fit with a fresh pair when my current pair wears out. Understand?
I am lucky I never got into the Air Jordans game, because I'm not wealthy.
Also, as stated above, I do not run every day. Running is a small part of my physical wellness that includes a variety of activities I won't list out here.
But I know if a pair of shoes is a Keeper within about a month of consistent wear, which includes running and cross-training as well as just casual wear and walking.
These shoes are TTS to me, perfectly, right at a 10. I range between 8.5 and 10.5 depending on the brand. But when I try a shoe on, I start with 10, and that's usually a fit.
I would say buy with confidence in your size, unless others disagree outside of a 10.
I like these shoes so much that I will be buying another identical pair to keep in a box in my closet, along with all of the other brand new "best shoes I've ever worn" collection.
If you want a really solid HOKA shoe but don't feel like paying $200+, try these. If you run 10+ miles everyday, and they wear out too quickly, I can't speak to that.

Absolutely love this style of shoe! I have had the Clifton's before and wanted to branch out and see what other styles work best for me and this style is phenomenal!

Use the shoe for short distance walking. Good looking shoe but not supportive for distance walking. Will purchase same look walking/running shoe.

this is my 6th pair - not because of quality, rather i appreciate variety. all 6 pairs are still going strong and my feet appreciate you. podiatrist doesn't want to see me for a year. i must say, my oldest pair of Cliftons are showing above average wear inside the heel. soles and all other parts are holding up nicely

Most of my body is arthritic, especially my feet, and I cannot do much standing or walking. I recently noticed both a doctor and a nurse wearing HOKAs and I asked them why. I was told how comfortable they are for folks who have to spend a good part of their day on their feet. So I bit the bullet and paid a fair amount of money for a pair of HOKAs. I've only worn them a couple of days, but they live up to their rep for comfort. Glad to have them.

Best running shoe I have ever had. I currently own three pairs of Hoka's, two of which are the Solimar's. I have tried multiple other running shoes from multiple other companies and these are the only ones where my feet don't hurt or peel when I'm done with a long run. Would recommend to anyone who wants to run without foot pain.

Based on numerous people who I've seen wearing Hokas, I decided to give them a try. First order, was too small. Started the return process (exchange for a bigger size). It was a very smooth process. It really couldn't have been better. Received the larger size and I'm extremely happy. Thanks!!!

I purchased these as a birthday gift for my husband. He is very picky with is shoes & he doesn't care for the styles with the chunkier sole, & so the Solimars were the perfect choice for him! He has had back surgery & works on his feet all day- the first couple of days he's worn them he said he felt like he was walking on air + no back pain. He already wants the other colors options!

The lightest shoes I've ever owned. I walk a lot in these, and I really should look at the walking shoes instead. But these are pretty great for an overall daily shoe.

These are such a great style. Love that they're in subtle color rather than the brights Hoka likes to do. I can wear these 12 hours and not feel much foot pain.

I work out in my Hoka Mach 6 shoes. The Solimars are my everyday shoes. They look sharp and feel great. I'm the sort of prof who moves around a lot in the classroom. My footfalls are silent and sure as cat's paws in the Solimars.

Bought these for wearing around Portland while on vacation. They were so light and comfortable I never felt any foot pain as I normally do with the miles we did. If you're looking for a great comfortable everyday shoe, look no further.

I've enjoyed walking in the HOKA Solimar shoe for over a year now!
I ve worn it out, but always in comfort! My latest adventure was walking my HOKA Solimar shoes on the Great Wall in China! The 3-4 miles of walking on the wall wasn't even a thought, doing 15-18K steps per day!
Thanks HOKA

Entry level Hoka. Bought for upcoming vacation, but after breaking these in, I may switch from Bondi to Solimar. Excellent value and great quality. True to size.

Super comfy and I like the sleek design. Great for working out but also dressy enough to wear out to dinner or a ball game.

I'd like to thank you for introducing me to these incredibly lightweight shoes. I was hesitant to pull the trigger on purchasing a pair!! However, I noticed in my travels, several people with these shoes, and I'd asked how they liked them. Often I was told that these were the most comfortable shoes if you're going to be out and about. I wholeheartedly agree 100%. Thank you!!
