I received the first pair of Solimars and they were too narrow for my feet. Normally, I do not have to jump up to a wider width, but I did in this case. The other thing is the site suggested I go down a half size from what I normally wear, based on the shoes I have bought in the past. I decided to go against that recommendation and bought the length I normally go with and I'm glad I did. So far the shoes are very comfortable. I use them both as a trainer and also to work out in. At this point, I would most definitely buy another pair when the need comes about. The other thing, it was very easy to return the first pair, which was a nice change from other places I have dealt with.

First time trying Hoka shoes after multiple friends and family have recommended. Shoes are very comfortable for all day and provide great stability. Excited to see how long they hold up.

I've liked every pair of Hokas I've owned - these Solimars are included in that summary. But the Mach 5s have been the best of the bunch. I thought I'd try to save a few bucks and get these and hope for the best. They'll do fine for the next 2-3 months, but I'll likely be back to paying more and getting the Mach 5s. The Mach 5s have a firmer sole in the arch area that just feels amazing to me - I suffer from plantar fasciitis and while these don't aggravate it or anything, the Mach 5s honestly HELP combat the issue.

My job requires me to be on my feet 10 to 12 hours a day and I can tell you now my feet don't eat at the end of my shift. They are lightweight yet. Great Support. I have zero back aches no more achy feet.

I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for weeks now and have tried everything. I decided to try your shoes and they've really helped. I'm an umpire so now I need to find a shoe that I can use on the field.

I've been using the HOKA Solimar primarily for gym workouts and CrossFit-style training. It's lightweight, breathable, and has just the right amount of cushioning for everything from warm-ups to high-intensity circuits. I really like is how balanced it feels, by being supportive enough for moderate lifting, but still flexible and responsive for jump training, sprints, and agility work. The lower stack height gives me a stable base during squats and kettlebell work.

He's SOLD on Hokas, just added another pair, so he's got two pair now. He's had a lot of trouble with his feet and after toe surgery, and with his Hokas, he's relieved of pain and discomfort. I've already told him I want some cute Hokas now for Christmas!

The Hoka Solimar fit is narrow relative to my other Hoka Bondi 8. Nice shoe otherwise.

I've now owned 4 pairs of Hoka's and this is by far the most comfortable pair I've owned. However the front rubber on the toe is peeling up after maybe a month of wearing to the gym. For the price that's not cool

This is 3rd pair of Hokas. 3rd chance as highly recommended by 2 friends who are podiatrist. I walk 2-4 miles 3-5 days a week and they are comfortable BUT the back of the heel wears out in several weeks, exposing plastic support. I don't slip on/off and have tried different styles but the same issue each time.

Purchased on January 7th of 2025 via the Hoka website and used PayPal. Only used to go to the gym (I'm not a runner or anything).Within 6 months, the sock liners on the shoes came unglued and it felt like my toes were curled over an edge. Attempted to get replaced, Hoka customer service said there was "no proof of purchase" and this was "wear and tear". I've owned several pairs of New Balances prior and they last 2 years at the gym. Was a mistake to give Hoka a try. Gave 2 stars because the shoes look nice.

I bought these for some special training I had planned so they didnt get used for a few weeks after i bought them. As expected they were very comfortable as all HOKAs seem to be. Unfortunately after a couple of days, the left shoe started making a really loud squeaking noise (loud enough it was embarrassing at some outdoor training) and I feel like I could feel a slight pop or crunch with each step on that side. I am hoping to get an even swap for a new pair because my wife and I have both been very satisfied with other Hoka experiences so far,

I've purchased 3 pairs of Solimars. The first were black and white, and the glued in patches on the bottom of the shoe started falling off in less than a month. Maybe I just got a bad pair? So I returned them and purchased another, but the same thing happened. Maybe there was a manufacturing problem with the black and white ones? So I returned those and tried a different color. They lasted longer, but the same thing happened. The pieces didn't start falling off until after the return window closed, but they were still well within warranty, so I sent them in for a warranty claim. Which was denied, saying it was "normal wear and tear", and the shoes are being returned to me. These are clearly defective shoes, with a problem Hoka must be aware of if I've had it happen 3 times. I was generous in my willingness to twice give Hoka another chance. It's a bummer that Hoka is being stingy with me. Hokas shouldn't have defects. And if they do, Hoka should eagerly honor the warranty. I sent the shoes in following the warranty claim instructions on the website, but in speaking with customer service, I'm told that the warranty process might have gone better if I had called in first, and sent photos. Nowhere in the online info was I prompted to do this. She invited me to try again the better way when I get the shoes back, but I think I'm done. Trying to get a single functioning pair of Hokas has already taken too much of my time.

Glue fails after a few months causing the rubber to detach from the sole. Spoke to support regarding and they say this is normal wear and tear for this shoe. Don't recommend if you are looking for something to last. For a higher price point show i expected more.

I really like the feel and weight of this shoe. I was actually looking for and hoping Hoka would make a tennis shoe as an older singles player but these shoes caught my eye. I use them on the court and I move so much better. Give them a try!

Shoes look good and feel great. I did replace the insole with a cushier pad but other than that this shoe is great.
