I loved the earlier versions of the Hoka Arahi. I had the 3 and the 4 in womens 11 wide and they were amazing. I bought the 5 in womens without getting fitted and the fit had completely changed. It was so narrow in the mid-foot but I just suffered through it for a little over a year. I thought maybe if I changed to a men's wide in the 6 it would be enough to fit. The mens wide in the 6 is the same as the womens wide in the 5. How is that possible?!?! This shoe is so narrow now and it's so disappointing. I had to change to Brooks and while it's a nice shoe the stability isn't the same. Please Hoka go back to the way you were previously making this shoe.

The shoe is not comfortable for standing still. Perhaps for running I don't know. I need a show for work standing still.

Worst shoe I have ever worn. I usually wear a 12.5 regular width shoe. This shoe gave me blisters the first day of wearing them on my inner heals, which I have never had before. The soles of the shoe were so hard, my feet were killing me! I don't know of I need a wide size, but I have never ordered a wide, and I don't know if that would help in the heal area. I was really excited about these shoes since I have heard only great things. Time to go back to Brooks, cheaper too!

They were, however, very tight in the heel area. I sent them back a few days after I received them. And a month later, I still have not received my refund. I'm very frustrated and will not recommend not purchase anything from this company in the future.

I bought these shoes for my retail job, standing 8 hours a day. After 2 days I got a blister on the side of my heal. After a week of wearing them, my feet started swelling and I needed to ice them after work. Sometimes I have to change to other shoes midway through my shift. Before I ordered, I had my shoe size measured professionally.

The shoes are too stiff for my feet and can only wear them a few hours. Extremely difficult to tolerate.

I ended up buying New Balance Fresh Foams 1080s because they are always neutral. I spoke to a Hoka rep in a chat and what she recommended was also not neutral. 3 diff styles and none neutral. I may buy for my daughters who have archs. I do not

I am amazed at how poor the quality of Hoka's are for the price they demand. I bought 2 different style Hoka's. 1 from this website which I am reviewing and the other directly from Hoka. I only wear these shoes once or twice a week, sometimes less. Never for a walk, jog or workout...only to go to and from places or for the day with friends and family. This review is 7 months after I bought them and wearing them less than 100 times. The cloth in the back of the shoe that rubs against back of ankle/achilles is tearing. Chunks of the rubber sole bottom have come off. They are comfortable to wear, are super light and I like the color but the quality of product is not good. If I wore these daily, I would need a new pair every 2-3 months. If these were 70-80 dollars then I would say you get what you pay for but these are expensive. The other pair I bought directly from Hoka has same issue with a different shoe but the rubber sole chunks that fell was even worse with those and those were more expensive than these. Lesson learned not to buy these again. There are other shoes that are comfortable and feel good with way better durability.

I do have to say that these shoes are very comfortable. Ok with that being said. I bought a pair a month ago. And after two days of wearing them my left shoe starting to squeak with every step I took. So I sent those back and received a new pair in the mail, no questions asked. It was super easy process. That took about a week and a half. Two days after wearing the new pair of shoes, both shoes are squeaking with every step I take!

The inside of the heel starts wearing away after less than a month. It exposes this plastic piece that digs into your heel causing a nasty blister. This shoe has done it to me twice now. I thought it was a fluke so got a second pair and same thing. I have had no problems with the Gaviota, it's just the Arahi.

I ordered the arahi 6 in a wide shoe, which is already hard to find in person here in San Diego (I checked 6 shoe stores in the San Diego area), so I already expected my shoes to be the less common type. But the quality on the sewing was subpar. My shoes had about an inch of the thread sticking out at the top of the lace loops, and about half an inch of thread sticking through the bottom of the heel right where the gum and shoe meet. I'm worried this thread can get stressed/strained and would cause the whole thread to start becoming undone, and since these are running shoes I don't know how long they'll last.

Once I finally received my shoes, after the second pair had to be shipped due to shipment becoming missing. The pair received had a defective left shoe, sole not cut proportionately to insert. I said the heck with it, not going to wait around another month.
