I feel like the shoe is a little tighter than the other styles I've worn. That being said the support and cushioning is perfect.

I hate to write a review so soon after purchase having only run in them about 3 times. This is my first pair of Hokas and they are definitely different. I have a narrow foot and require medium support to compensate for over-pronating. I wore Brooks Adrenaline until they removed the Jpost support and then switched to NewBalance for my last 3 pairs. Brooks and NB were the only companies offering a narrow width. After trying on a pair of Hokas I decided that the D width seemed to be an ok fit if I lace them tight enough. The Arahi is taking some getting used to. It has a lot less heel drop and the cushioning is on the spongy side compared to Brooks and NB. They even make a different sound when your foot strikes the ground. I notice more difference going up hills because of the lower heel. The jury is still out on whether or not these shoes will work well as they continue to break in. I'm not sure if Hoka is a serious contender to compete with the more established companies.

Very lightweight, support took a little while getting used to. One thing I don't like is that if you accidentally slide the sole along the floor as you walk, it will create a loud squeak

I love these shoes! The reason I gave it 4 stars is the sole Insert doesn't cover the mid inside where the sole meets the upper. It's slightly uncomfortable but 100% bearable

This is my first pair of hoka's. They are by far the most comfortable shoe I've worn. However they squeak. The right shoe has a squeak with ever step, noticeable enough where people look at me, that I cannot get rid of. I've cleaned, I've stretched the shoe, everything I can think of. Then my daughter in law told me hers does it also. Apparently it's not uncommon with hoka's.

If you are having any pronation issues these might do the trick and are pretty light. Not super cushy but you kinda forget they are there after a mile or two.

I love the shoe! It's lightweight and still gives me the support and stability of my Bondi. But I have 4 pair of Hoka and all different styles and this one is much more snug on my feet. I have size 7 in all my shoes but this one was so snug I even looked to make sure it was a size 7. I can still wear them but I go with thin socks or no socks. But that fuchsia is the Bomb!!

Two weeks later, love good support and airiness. It's a short period to know that they are better than other brands, notably New Balance and Asics. Also, price point is higher than theirs.

Men's Gaviota 4, size 14 EE: I bought 2 Gaviota 3s in same size. As an older, slow to medium pace jogger aspiring to become a medium to faster pace jogger, a tad bit over 200 lb. flat feet, sprayed toes, etc. the Gaviota models work well on the road. My Arahi 6, seems better suited for a paved track and treadmill. By work well, I mean stable foot placement, good cushion for feet, nice flexibility for my purposes when hitting a pace of 14 or 15 and great at a 16 pace. Also, works well at 6 miles, 8 miles, and 10 miles. For now, steep hills require a slower pace to reduce sore feet.

I find it extremely difficult to find shoes that work for me. I like the Altra fit, but I love the Hoka stability. For my money, I have to take the stability over the better foot shape of the Altras, and the Arahi 6 has been really great. I don't run but have walked a lot of miles and so far, these are likely to keep me coming back. Only lose a star because they could be a bit wider, wish they have the more natural toe box.

If you have large wide flat feet I suggest these shoes. Only issue is the toe box crumples a little over time and that is slightly irritating. With that being said every shoe I've had does that unless it's a shell toe. If there were more colors in my size I would have a few pairs of these without a doubt.

I have to break it in. I buy the men's for the width. and the 2E in men's isn't perfect when I first buy it. If I have to settle for men's colors, at least the could be wider!!

Size and fit accurate. I would purchase them again. Very comfortable shoes for walking on firm surfaces or gravel.

The Arahi 5 was/is my favorite Hoka and maybe my favorite shoe of any I've ever had. The 6 retains all the goodness I have in the 5 minus one thing. The 5's are classified in the "responsive" category while the 6's are shown as "balanced." I really liked the way the 5 gave you a more grounded feel while still having plenty of cushioning. The Bondis I have almost feel as if I'm on stilts when just walking, wonderful feeling when doing my rapid, brisk exercise walks or very limited running (my knees no longer tolerate running). So the 6 is a little less grounded but still wonderful in every other way as the 5's are. For most people these would be a solid 5 star shoe. As far as sizing the 6 feels identical to my 5. I buy them in wide even though actually measuring my feet shows a medium D width foot. Hokas tend to be a little narrow in their standard width for me. So my rating below - "feels too narrow" - is for the standard width. The 2EE is perfect, although I don't need the extra width around the heel. The only other quibble I have with Hoka is that the color selection is less for the wide versions. I've been hoping to see the Together color that was offered in the Clifton 8s, I bought 2 pair of those because of that color. One other thing is that the only other shoe I could find with the "responsive" cushioning, Mach 5, isn't available in an acceptable color in Wide. Anyway I find the Arahi 6 to be exceptional, fit is exactly the same as the 5 for anyone that had those, just more squish underfoot which some may like even more.

So far running in these shoes is good without any issues. Getting used to them after primarily running in ASICS Nimbus. Time will tell whether I try a different pair of Hoka's or move on to something else.

Walking, general purpose. Stability is great, as advertised. Extremely lightweight and comfortable. Able to wear for extended periods of time. My only reservation thus far is care and cleaning and washability. My Arahi 6 shoes are white. The mesh fabric seems to get dusty and dirty quickly, especially at the top front toe area. Care and cleaning recommendations are to spot-clean with soapy water and rinse by hand. Somewhat inconvenient and results just so-so. Had originally thought machine washing was possible, but not understand it is not recommended due to potential issues with structural integrity of the shoe by machine washing.
