Great shoe! Wore it this past weekend to an outdoor dress weeding on a mountain -- could traverse the terrain and look good at the same time. Sooooo comfortable!

I love these boots - enough to have bought a second pair in a different color. They look great with most outfits, from casual to just-below-tux-and-tails. They're also very comfortable and supportive - I have knee and ankle problems from sport injuries and these boots mitigate that. (I can actually walk all day in these without knee pain, unlike less supportive shoes like sneakers or dress shoes.) All told I'd recommend them without hesitation. Just remember to size down slightly from your normal street size, as these run a bit big.

Amazing boots. Comfortable, sturdy, and good-looking - I wear them everywhere and they've been holding up very well with just a little bit of care. Fit is a bit on the big side - if you normally wear a 10.5 street shoe, I'd recommend trying these in 10 or 9.5 first. (Street shoe size is definitely too big.)

This is a very nice boot. But a couple of things to be aware of before you buy: 1. The pics on Frye's website are not completely indicative to what arrives in the box if you order online. The online pics reflect a somewhat polished boot. What arrives is a VERY distressed looking boot, with some sort of white powdery substance all over the boot...Probably from the distressing work done to give the boot a very worn look. If you don't prefer this look, this powder easily wipes clean with a slightly damp cloth. I got the Whiskey color....Since I prefer the look of the boot from the online pics, I applied a little Allen Edmonds bourbon colored shoe polish to give my boots a slightly dressier look. Overall, I love what the polish did for the look of the boot. 2. Frye boots tend to have VERY heavy soles and heels, and this boot is no exception. This thick of a sole can add to the break-in period, and possible discomfort in the early days or even months. Overall, A+ for this boot. Appears to be very well made, and a boot that will last for many years to come.

I love them. Except the price, but clearly that didn't stop me. I usually wear an 8.5, but I tried many sizes and the 7 fit perfectly. So these are waaaay off.

These boots have been great. The fit is good -- I wear an 11D, purchased an 11D, and the fit is spot on. The leather quality is super, as is the sole. It's a very solid leather sole and I brought the boots to a cobbler who installed rubber Topy soles on each. All in all, these are top quality boots that are fully up to the standards of others in this price category. I have no qualms about highly recommending the Frye Walter.

I have never written a review before. That said, I felt that I had to based on the review of the person that never even saw these boots in person. I was hesitant to spend the money, but went for it anyway. These are expensive boots. However, they are worth every penny. Within two days of wearing them, they are broken in and super comfortable. I have been wearing Frye's for years and these are the best ones I have ever worn. The style is super sexy. I have actually gotten two compliments on these boots in two days. That never ever happens. I am super impressed. I am so impressed, I am actually thinking about buying another pair in a different color. If you are on the fence, you should absolutely buy them. Best boots I have ever had.

One month in, these boots have broken in nicely and look as though they'll be with me for a long time to come. I'm very happy with the purchase.

Great vintage leather has a true distressed look and the raw hide leather laces make it an authentic work boot. Fits true to size but buy a size up if you plan to wear heavier socks.

Ordered my standard 91/2. Returned for a 9. Average feet, average width. 1/2 size too big. Got props on the style from my special lady friend before they went back on the box for the right size.

I purchased these boots this past summer and have gotten lots of good wear out of them. They required no break in period for me. I work retail and am on my feet all day and they do pretty well during those shifts. The suede texture and color is incredible! Definitely would recommend. Size down a half to a whole size down from your general sneaker size though.

Good looking pair of boots. The quality is good but way too pricey. I will not spend this amount of money on Frye boots. Not as good as my Red Wing Iron Rangers. The only reason why I bought this is because Red wing doesn't make dark brown or suede anymore.

First time buying Frye boots. I heard nothing but good things so I had to try them out. I love the look of the Logans.. High quality boots. Great craftsmanship. If you order your normal size, expect them to be too long in the toe. I ordered a 10.5 and returned them for a 10. Try ordering a half size down... Fits much better but they're now a bit narrow on both sides of my heels. I am waiting for them to break in.

This is my second pair of Frye's. The quality, fit and construction are all excellent, exactly what I expected, and although I've only had them for about two weeks, I think they may outlive my Smith Engineer's. I took off a star because they don't have a pull strap.

I bought these along with 5 other pairs of boots from different brands. The Frye Logans won and I'm really enjoying wearing them. I find myself overlooking other pairs of shoes to put them on

I purchased these boots over a month ago and they look great, however the insert eyes for the laces were not installed properly and very sharp edges are in the inside of the boot. So when taking off the boots and you have to loosen the laces I cut my finger on the edge of the eye openings not once but twice. So now I am very aware of the issue.

Great looking boot. Slightly stiffer, dressier style, with the leather soles and accents. This will not be a boot I will want to walk around or stand around in for long periods of time, but is comfortable enough for a work day or night out. I ended up with a full size to size and a half down (I wear 10.5 in most shoes) which translates into correct length but a little more narrow than I would prefer. They seem well constructed so far but time will tell. I opted to pay more for one of the styles made in the US because the last pair of Frye boots I bought (Norton Tall Lace Up - made in Mexico) have had the sole reglued four times in two years. Frye was synonymous with quality but I am wondering if that quality is reserved for the more expensive styles these days. Zappos was great as usual, even shipped when I was 15 minutes past their cutoff.

Boots are nice and fit well BUT, list price is rather high in comparison to other quality boots from, say Allen Edmonds (also American made). Fry, no lining, little cushion insole. I only purchase Frye footwear when on sale now. Decline in bang for the buck trend seemed to happen a few years ago. Right now, Fryes are in. That may change some day and the lack of quality in relation to higher prices may come back to haunt you.

I got a great deal on these boots from another retailer (I think that they discontinued the color) but I felt like this might be the best place to give feedback. These are nice boots, but I would say that chippewa and red wings are a bit better. I own pairs of all three and I find the frye's to be the most expensive and probably the least well thought out. First the leather they use while very very soft, is also very thin. The tongue of the boot is made of the same material and is not sewn into the sides so I flops around freely they have a slot through the tongue where the laces can pass, but because the leather is so soft and thin the laces do not pass very freely. The laces are terrible, they look nice but because they are made of leather they don't slide through the lace holes very easily so you almost have to pull the laces out every time to put them on a snug them up. Couple that with the slot in the tongue and these are very difficult boots to throw on and go out the door. These boots also don't have speed laces on the upper holes, which also exacerbate this issue. I changed the laces for iron laces and they work a lot better, though look less nice. The boots look nice, and the toe box is wide so if you need the space these are good for that, I use orthotics and they run a little big, so they are good for that. They do not have a removable insole, which a lot of chippewas, even on the cheaper end come with. Overall these are pretty good, but for the price I would probably go with an red wing iron ranger, or chippewa homestead boot. They are also made in USA, and probably are a better bargain.

The stonewash was exaggerated. Which makes the shoes less worth what is charged on those shoes. I think I will return them because I still can not come up with a reason for which I have paid this much for this shoe. I was looking for style and durability but it did not work.

I have not seen or tried on a pair of these new boots from Frye. I have noted that the boots are unlined! I thought that was a sign of less quality. Meanwhile the prices on new Frye products often seem as much as a lot more than similar items no longer offered. A bit of pay more for the name with lesser quality seems to be in play. This makes me sad.
