Is it me, or are Dansko's getting smaller? I normally wear an 11W (the width is due to a bunion). I used to be able to wear size 43 Dansko's, but now that they are making cute and pretty new colors, the 43's no longer fit. In fact, when the silver floral patent Professionals arrived in size 43, I couldn't even get my good foot into it! So disappointed...I will order plain black Professionals in wide, because they are such great shoes, but I would love to be able to get some cute styles in a size that would fit. When you have large enough feet, the cute styles don't always come "in the next size up!" Help!

I've heard and read about these shoes. They do feel a little snug at first, but it takes a couple of weeks to break. After that they feel true to its size and shape to foot. I've gotten a lot of compliments on the color too. Work wise, as a cook and standing for 8-14 hours, they're great for posture.

Very cute, would have loved to have kept them, but was concerned about the tightness across the top of my foot. I have a high instep, if the shoe will loosen up enough, great, but if it doesn't then I wasted money. Decided not to risk it.

I bought these shoes and I will wear them because of the arch support. I have had plantar fasciitis and these shoes work for that. I hate the way that they look...the cheetah print makes them more feminine and tolerable...in my eye. If you need support, then these are great.

Great, well made, comfortable shoe, but Danskos seems to be making their sizes bigger. In past years, Dansko 37's fit me. I just swapped these for a size 36.

I love my Dansko clogs. They are very comfortable clogs. Worth the money spent. Can be on my feet all day at work and I don't get any back pain. I have gotten many compliments on these clogs because they are so colorful.

I am a math teacher and bought these Dansko Professionals to keep at work to help my feet and back.
Looks: The colors work with any outfit I wear - that is a plus (they have a bit more gold than the pictures shows).
Comfort: I expected these shoes to be out-of-this world comfortable but they are just OK. The arch support helps my feet and back but they are very hard (like Dr. Scholls from the 70's). Thank goodness I live in FL and hardly ever wear socks because these shoes fit snugly and don't leave much room to add thick socks.
Overall I am satisfied with this choice but was hoping for them to be more forgiving on the inside instead of rigid.

These multi leopard Danskos are super-cute, but they fit and look much looser than others I have in the same style and size. They look stretched out at the top. Sadly I'm returning.

Every different print of Dansko shoes size is different. Some are huge & some are smaller but they definitely run bigger than normal. My shoes size normally ranges from size 5-6 but with Dansko, I have to wear a size 4 (35). When I ordered several different pairs of different colors, some runs real big like the Psychedelic color but some are medium fit & some fits just right on me...very frustrating esp when i totally love the psychedelic pair & I have to put inserts before I can walk on it without slipping off my feet. Dansko, please be consistent with your size & provide size 35 on all styles...think of small feet people like me who loves your shoes!

I think these shows are great but you have to be care when walking that you do not twist an ankle or slide off the back of the shoe. Other than that I love these shoes. Oh yeah do not walk on an wooden treated board in the start of cold weather will really hurt yourself... fractured tail bone in these shoes.

I ordered a size larger and still not large enough. It could just be me. Love the shoes, but won't be able to wear them. Actually, could not even get my foot in the shoe because the instep area was too small. Love the shoe, itself, though, and think it would be very comfortable IF I could wear it!

Im a nurse and needed new shoes very badly. After hearing people rave about Danskos I decided to give them a try. Yes there is a bit of height to the shoe but they dont feel unstable or too high. The footbed is also harder than most other shoes, but it isnt uncomfortable. I wear a size 10 and fit into a 41 perfectly. These shoes also have great arch support. I purchased the Flower Power ones and they are really cute. The clogs arent the most fashionable shoes but when youre one your feet over 12 hours a day comfort comes before looks and these are a winner.

My first comfy shoe -
This is my second pair of Danskos. My first pair, the Giselle mary-jane, hurt my feet after standing for 8 hours at work. A fellow pharmacist told me I needed to buy the Danskos with the big wedge heel because it helps the shoe mold to your feet. I gave it a try and bought these despite the clunky appearance, broke them in for a week as recommended by my friend (they hurt for the first week, but no worse than my old shoes), and now I'm in heaven at work! My legs aren't tired and in pain when I get home after standing all day! And Zappos service was fantastic, I got the shoes on my doorstep about 20 hours after I placed my order with upgraded free shipping!

Not so pretty, a little heavy too, but supper comfee -
Not a very pretty shoe. A little on the heavy side too, but very comfortable.
I wear size 9 or 9.5 enclosed shoe so I ordered size 40. I had a hard time getting pair that actually fit, but like most people I have one foot slightly larger than the other. I even ordered size 41 from another on line retailer as Zappos didn't have that size in stock. I realized that 41 was way too big (even for my big foot lol) so to make a long story short, I ordered about 4 or 5 pairs of this shoe until I got the right fit. I tried the oiled professionals but in the end the "plain" professionals worked for me. Even when I made up my mind to keep them I wasn't totally happy with the fit, but after wearing them a few times I'm glad that I kept them. I don't know if they stretched or if they conformed to my feet or what but I know that they feel good, and I never had the problem of breaking them in (no blisters, rubbing, or any type of discomfort). The back slips up and down as you walk (and I think that's how they should fit) but they shouldn't be able to fly off your feet.
Oh, one more thing. Zap pos was abfab (absolutely fabulous) about the returns. I was feeling a little guilty about the number of exchanges but they assured me that it was no problem. Now here's the biggest shocker. I was telling the customer service rep, Reandra that I really wanted these shoes as I am studying to be a surgical tech. Well a few days later I got a card in the mail from her wishing me good luck in my studies!
If you see something you like, try it at and if it just does not work returns/exchanges are a breeze.

Doctor’s clogs -
I bought this shoe to wear in the morgue while I do autopsies. It is comfortable, easy to wipe clean, and does not make my feel smell horrible, like rubber clogs do. I would not wear this shoe anywhere else but the morgue- I do not think that it is at all attractive!- but I highly recommend it for those who are on their feet at work for long hours. Dansko does make cuter shoes, so you can get the comfort without having to wear rather ugly shoes- I also own a version of the Dansko Merrie, which I do not wear in the morgue at all because it is so cute.

Solid as a rock -
I bought these based on several reviews I read here on Zappos. I needed a pair of shoes, no matter how costly, that I could wear to my retail job where I have to stand for up to six hrs. at a stretch. These shoes definitely have a high instep, which, if you're not used to, will take some time to get used to, and you should wear these shoes for limited amounts of time until they are broken in...I found them to be a bit stiff at first.

I got the smallest size in 35 (4-4.5) since I'm a 4.5 but it felt like a 5. I wish they fit because they're comfortable and stylish. Good thing for the free return shipping!

This shoe has no flaws what so ever. I don't think you can change anything about the sizing of the shoe because if you could, I'm sure a lot more would sell. For instance, I would have given this shoe an overall rating of "5" instead of a "4" if I had gotten a 7 instead of an 8. Because now my Danskos are much bigger even though I love them sooooooo much. Thank you very much.

Not for long walks -
Despite all the hype, I don't find Dansko Professional the most comfortable. The footbed is very hard. I first wore them at home for a couple of days, they felt fine. But then I went for a three-hour walk in them. My feet felt bone-breaking pain for two days. They look nice with jeans and casual pants. I decided to keep them. Maybe I can break them in someday.

Bought these to replace a pair that I purchased 3 yrs. ago... the older ones were looking a bit worn, but are still in great condition for around the house and outdoors. I love fashion shoes and wear often, but as a "soccer mom" and volunteer, these Danskos cannot be beat! I wear a 9-9 1/2 and the 40s fit perfectly... a little stiff in the toe, but that softens with time. During fall, winter, and spring I probably wear them daily. Not too pretty, but they do make a larger foot look a lot smaller. They are the norm where I live rather than exception.

Made the mistake of ordering the next size up and it is looser than I normally like. I have another pair in a smaller size that has stretched. I recommend buying the smaller size for your foot (e.g. if you wear a 7.5, buy the 7-7.5 rather than the 7.5-8). The sole is hard, so it’s more of a standing-around shoe than a walking-around shoe.

This shoe gives me comfort in my legs, where it used to hurt so bad, since I start wearing them it help me a lot. I am wearing my shoe all the time. I love my shoe very much. Anyone with a foot problem, please try these shoes, they are so good.

Almost perfect -
I hate my Danskos for about the first 3 weeks that I own them, they rank up there with my 5 in strappy stilettos. About 2-3 weeks later, I start to love them and forget all about that hateful break-in period. I used to wear Crocs but found that while they're comfortable for a little bit, my back would ache at the end of my 12 hour shift...and when you’re on your 3rd 12hr in a row, being achy is NOT acceptable. (We can no longer wear crocs for work at the hospital.) Dansko leaves my back and feet happy. They may feel a little tired at the end of the shift, but they don’t hurt or ache...a miracle. You'll never find me wearing another shoe for work, I’m on my third pair.
