IMHO...., these work shorts are the best I've seen for sometime. Had ones bought years ago similar but all worn out...lol, like a good pair of work short's should be, right? My only complaint....., I'd like to have matching colored and material short-sleeve works shirts as well. And by the way, khaki color for both shirt & shorts would be better than black or OG.

Hubby says he's waited 40 years to find shorts like this. He's a general contractor.

These work shorts last for everyday wear.

This is my third pair of the Ripstop Cargo Short and if you are not aware they have changed. Some for the better and some not. I like the addition of the reinforced front pocket for a measuring tape to clip onto, it's easier to use. Personally, I feel the phone pocket has changed and the snaps on the cargo pockets are a nuisance. Overall and most importantly for me the sizing is slightly smaller and the fit seems to get caught up(almost binds) while bending down or squatting. The durability still seems solid but the comfort isn't as good as my previous pairs. So if you are close to a size order up one.

great shorts, buy a size up if you like loose fit, very confortable.

I like that there's a reinforced area on the front pockets for pocket tools and knife clips. Mostly though, the weight of the cargo pockets just causes me to have to pull up my pants constantly and I wish the non-cargo stretch canvas shorts had been available in black.

These Cargo Shorts are very well made, and the material is very durable to provide a long-lasting life. I really like them.

Ordered men's as they seem more sturdy. Love the numerous pockets and comfy.

Good length, sits well on waist . Comfortable and plenty of useful pockets especially for Carpenter painter. I've only had these for a couple weeks so I don't know the durability yet, but they seem like they will hold up.

George'sreview below here said pretty much exactly what I have been thinking as it regards the #B357 style shorts. I CANNOT understand why on earth Carhartt would discontinue something that is of great quality like these B357 shorts ??? I myself have purchased at LEAST 20 pairs in the past several years from either Carhartt or the clearing house ('dungarees') & can verify such. I would have purchased more in the recent past, except Carhartt eliminatied this style & my size availability. "Rugged Flex are nice,but I was a big fan of the older style B357,they should not have discontinued these,they were twice the thickness,owned many pair,and wore them till they fell off !!,The lighter material is nice in extreme heat with the Rugged Flex,look the same as the B357,guess I just fell in love with the B357 in every aspect! Love the look and feel of these shorts. They are still tough but look good and are cooler than the canvas or your other flex material.
