Shoes did not fit. The were to tight on my feet. Not wide at all.

I have been buying these GT 1000 shoes for several years now, probably back to version 4 or 5.
Jury is out on this model for me. Seems lighter than 10, but not sure about the quality.

Great form, fit and assembly.
Not as much cushion in the heel as prior GT-1000 shoes.
Time to evaluate competition?

Ok shoe.not for the hard core runner. If you run over twenty miles per week, try a different shoe

I usually run in GT-2000s but bought two GT-1000s because they were on sale. I have run in 1000s years ago. Unfortunately, these GT-1000s I just bought have a smaller toe box than the 2000's and the 1000's I bought a few years ago. The smaller toe box causes my big toe to get a blister because of crowding. I am a serious distance runner. I have run 62,268 miles over the last 48 years as part of a longevity study. I have run in ASICS since they first were introduced in the United States many years ago. Consequently, I am an expert on ASICS running shoes. Although they are now a bit lighter than when first introduced, they are not as durable. They simply don't last as long. I like ASICS because they limit pronating. However, I would rather have a bit heavier more durable shoe. Please go back to the way you used to build them. Use more durable material especially in the heels and make the toe boxes BIGGER! I will continue to buy ASICS 2000s.

These were reportedly very comfortable, but I was disappointed that my son's big toe poked completely through the fabric upper within 3 months. He wears them daily, but I expect more durability than that.

Out of all of the sneakers I tried, these seemingly were the best BUT not good for my feet.
Very good support for overpronation. CONS: very slanted at the heel toward the leg, like at about 30 degeress and pressing at the top
of my foot at the back which means it will rub and cause blisters. Again, too bad but it is impossible to keep up with constant changes
from models that fit me well and constant searching from the beginning every time I need a new pair.
I'd also recommend:
At this point none as all have new models so it means searching all over again

Nice looking and well cushioned shoe. Love that they have them in wide widths, but they are too pointy and narrow at the toe.

These were the worst Asics I have ever worn in my life. Super uncomfortable. Absolutely HORRIBLE. When I first put them on they felt normal but after walking around in my house for 5 min they were really bad. The souls felt thin and hard. I bought these because I had a pair of GT-1000 10s that were the best shoes I ever had in my life. These are not even close to the old 10s.

Toe box extremely narrow for Ascics (which I’ve worn for over 40years). Went up a size for orthotics, and they don’t fit in shoe comfortably.

While the shoe was true to size, the heel of the shoe was not comfortable. The height of the heel area felt very low as well. This is a shoe that is supposed to help with overpronation while running and it seems to go out of its way to accomplish that. Unfortunately it's just a bit too much for me.

There is no way this shoe is a 4E. I compared the bottom of the show to another 4E that I own and it's not even close.

These are not well made. One of the shoes had a pucker in it that I didn't notice right after opening or I would have returned them sooner.

I got the 4E Xtra wide version but it is the same width as the standard width model, which I already have. I even compared it side by side, I could not believe it.
I am starting to think that Asics does not know how to do wide width.
I am returning it

Niot enough forefoot cushioning! A very expensive shoe but not worth the money. It has very little forefoot cushioning unlike the Gel Nimbus 23 which you no longer make. Even with a gel insole my forefeet still hurt after just a short distance. What a disappointment

I bought a pair online two weeks ago. I have always been able to fit in size 11 with standard width. Due to the extra cushioning, these shoes are too tight. I will be returning them. Maybe the size 11 extra wide will fit. Or I will switch to a trail running shoe since these are uncomfortable and will result in blisters and the shoes prematurely breaking.
