I've been searching for the right backpack/personal item for travel and this is it. I love how you can pack it like a suitcase with the side zip opening. The only negative is its harder to quickly rummage through if you want to open it like regular back up, but there are so many pockets in the front just put your passport and other quick grab items in one of those. I also was thrilled about the trolley sleeve!

Since I saw it, I fell in love with it but once I had it I was impressed. is more as spacious that you would think. You can survive a long weekend with it - It fits everything! I am so happy with this bag.

I often travel with just a personal item when flying and this holds so much, easily enough for a long weekend trip or more! It has lots of compartments to keep organized. It fits nicely under the seat on a plane. My only critique is that the zippers do sometimes get caught on the mesh but for the capacity it's still a great bag and I'm happy with my purchase!

This is perfect for the travel my husband and I want to do. Whether it is a weekend trip or airplane destination trip. I can also use it on long car trips.

I'm so happy with new lay flat backpack. Not only does it hold all of my essentials, it also holds my new Vb slippers, VB blanket, and my VB pillow cover on my, "My Pillow", it's a bit smaller then the one that came with the cover. It will fit under an airplane set so I won't have to worry about fighting with the overhead compartment. I would recommend this item!

I fell in love with the design. I haven't used it yet but it seems like it will be a great carry-on. The way it resembles a suitcase when open and lots of signature VB pockets and compartments.

Good bag

This is perfect for a weekend trip or just to gain that extra space we always need on carry-on/personal items! It's also great for long days at school when you need to sneak in a gym session and get everything in one place! The fabric is resistant, the whole backpack feels of very good quality, and the pattern is very cute! I 100% recommend it!

This bag is so useful, spacious and practical. I have one foe myself and have purchased 2 more for presents, it is the best !

I am used to Vera Bradley cosmetic bags and thought I would give a backpack a try. I am pleased with it's durability and spaciousness! It is legitimately travel-worthy. The zippers and material are good quality and seem to be water-resistant (though I haven't put it to the test). There are also many, many pockets and compartments! The backpack fits easily under an airplane seat. I have always considered Vera Bradley products to be very beautiful but not so durable, and this backpack changed my mind!

I absolutely love this backpack, opens like a suitcase, no more digging to find things. Fits over the suitcase handle and has a place for my laptop.

Great for a weekend trip!!

Although I haven't actually used this yet, I can already tell it will be just what I want for my European trip this next spring. Using packing bags and organizer totes I'm planning on putting everything I want for air travel and a couple days of clothing and use it as my carry on!

just what I wanted at the price that was perfect for me! have used it now twice for weekend trips and was able to pack it all in! can't wait to use it this weekend on a camping trip

I purchased this backpack about 1 year ago and I have taken it as a personal item on approximately 30+ flights. It can fit so much and at times I just travel with this as a suitcase. 10/10 recommend. This is my best travel purchase.

I absolutely love this Backpack!! Super cute and extremely functional. I usually take two suitcases, a laptop bag, and a purse with me to the airport and the struggle is real. This backpack helped me to eliminate the laptop bag, the purse, and the second suitcase. I can carry this on my back or strap on top of the suitcase. This frees up my arms and I don't have to dig every time I need something with stuff falling all over the place. There is a ton of room and its the best thing ever!!! Super worth it, I recommend it 110%

This bag is great! It is great for business or personal travel. It even holds my addtional laptop screen that is extra long. It has a lot of space for clothes and office stuff.

Great backpack, can't wait to use it on my next trip. Now I'm able to pack at least one change of clothing without sacrificing space in case my luggage gets lost. Love the print!

Just took this backpack as a personal item to Europe and on 3 different airlines with no issues at all. It had all the features that I was specifically looking for - suitcase opening, trolley sleeve, water bottle pocket, compression straps, and several organization compartments. It had it all and I even found an extra pocket that I didn't even know it had to bring home souvenirs. I packed almost as much as my rolling carry-on. So glad I found this at the last minute! Great quality and a very well-designed backpack found in my favorite gray.
