I LOVE this bag. It holds EVERYTHING. All my work, my purse, shopping...EVERYTHING! Love the turquoise color and the monogram. Just a great, fun, work, summer bag (that I use all year long!)

I love these. I have every size except extra large and I have several colors. I also bought three of my friends the medium size in different colors with their names monogrammed for Christmas gifts. I have also bought one with zippered closure and one with long straps. I use the small size as my everyday purse.

Hubby and I are very pleased with the extra large tote we purchased. It is sturdy and well made. The monograming is handsome. I treated it with scotchgard prior to use because it will see a lot of heavy wear. A winner!

Purchased this for my granddaughter in college. When I visited her, her old tote strap broke. I knew this tote was much better made and I had her name put on it. She loves it and holds a lot things. Excellent purchase.

this is my second boat bag & I don't know what I'd do without them. Sturdy & reliable with a classic design that helps me lug books around campus. This time I went with the long handle which I recommend if you are using it as a work/school/book/laptop tote.

We had the XL version of this tote for decades and used it for just about everything family related. So when I gave it to my son's family because they wanted it and it was nowhere near worn out, I decided to get us a new one. I was thrilled to see that they now come with long handles so the tote can be slung over a shoulder, a feature I'd wished for off and on over the years. The new tote seems just as sturdy as our old one--I got red again and had it embroidered with our name--and the long handles are a great feature. Looking forward to many years of use!

I bought 3 of these medium boat and tote bags for my co worker and my cousin's children as their graduation gift. All 3 recipients loved their monogrammed tote bags. I loved it so much that I bought one for myself in skylight. I love these boat and tote bags. They are sturdy, durable and well built. I have another one in a light blue floral pattern. LL Bean, please make more boat and tote bags in PASTEL colors and FLORAL patterns. I would buy more boat and tote bags in different pastel colors if you offered more color choices.

Boat and Tote medium size bags are GREAT for groceries. PLEASE, PLEASE bring back the custom boat and tote. I have 5 colorful bags back from the days when you did custom color choices. I would buy one or two more but will not purchase the white because it gets too dirty, too easily. If you cannot bring back the custom choices at least offer the bag with the main body a darker color. Mine are colorful and fun and I frequently get positive comments from the grocery store baggers.

I recently purchased an open top, medium Boat and Tote bag to replace the one I had used for nearly 18 years. The original bag was a gift, and it contained the name and embroidered image of a Dachshund like mine. We lost that dog in mid-December and I didn't want to continue using the bag. I had used it as my "school bag", and except for the frayed handles and some stains I had caused, it was still in great shape! I certainly could have gotten many more good years of use from it, but I couldn't bear to look at the name and picture of my precious doggie. :( The replacement bag I ordered is identical to the original, but contains only my monogram. The bag is very well made and has plenty of room for all the books, etc, that I put in it. I look forward to using it for many, many years. I don't believe it is possible to wear out one of these bags! Bean does not disappoint!

Purchased this to transport 1 pair of sneakers and a water bottle that fits upright without rolling around to the gym. Perfect for this purpose.

I am constantly shuffling items between two households and these sturdy bags, which are rigid enough to stand up straight, are indispensable. So practical, functional, high quality, and impressive! I simply cannot imagine life without these iconic bags. I purchased the large and extra-large size with the regular handle length. I prefer the regular handle length as I put LOTS of heavy items in the bag and it helps me to load and unload them into my SUV.

Our developmentally delayed son (adult) is a bookaholic and carries his books in the tote bag at all times. over the years he has worn out 2 bags. He loves them and they are sturdy enough to hold up under the many books he puts in them. I have them monogrammed and he has a million dollar smile when he get a new one

I received this long handled bag as a gift and it has been a dream. Since I am a teacher, the bag holds tons of student papers. I have also taken it to the beach and football games. The long handle is a perfect length and so easy to carry. It does not slide off your shoulder. The bag is made of the best and strongest material. After a year of everyday use, it still looks new . I especially like having my name monogrammed on the side....the personal touch. I have since ordered two bags as gifts for friends. My bag does not have a zipper, but I just may treat myself and get another bag with a zipper for more personal items when I travel.

We bought two open-top extra large totes because we know the the quality is very durable. Our old tote (large) has been used for over 25 years. It's still being used along with our new totes. They fold up into a suitable size and are easy to store.

Very well made tote. I have purchased different sized totes in the past and have always been very happy with the durability.

I really love the Boat and Tote, all sizes, but miss the customization. Please consider bringing back this option. The black on black is so cool!

I've bought a few of these totes over the years and still use all of them. Well made, sturdy and attractive, they're great to load up with everything from books to beach supplies.

These bags are amazing. Simple but so strong. I use them to go grocery shopping, do laundry, pack for short trips, you name it! If you can use a bag for it, then you want to use this bag! I prefer the long handle so the bag can easily go on my shoulder. I have all of the sizes. Like I said, they are amazing!

Love how sturdy and well-made this tote is! We are 100% outsiders who love to hike, boat, camp, fish, and more. Our new spring puppy will need a good tote to hold all of his outdoor adventure gear and I'm so glad we went with this one. Arrived 2 days after the expected delivery date but that is to be expected during the holidays! So very happy with this, and plan to order another for our next puppy, River, too!
