The LL Bean tote bag is an indispensable basic and also a great gift! You can never have too many! Spring for a monogram!

LL Bean totes are incredibly durable. I was gifted one as a teenager over 20 years ago and recently purchased one for my daughter that I expect her to use for 20+ years. They can be used in so many ways. We love our bags!

Very well constructed, with quality materials. However, having ordered it to hold my art supplies, it was not deep enough for all supplies including my sketch book of 12" x 16" and the drawing board of 18" x 22." I now use a Large Bean Boat and Tote that my wife had and was using for groceries. Thank you.

Absolutely love this open top tote. Perfect size for my everyday doing errands purse. The light color makes it easy to find things with plenty of space for all my essentials and anything else. Great addition to all my larger totes. Love these boat and totes!

Bought our first boat and totte bag in 1983, and over the years have added one in every size, both zippered and open. They are used EVERY weekend to haul stuff to our boats. LOTS of stuff; heavy stuff! Over stuffing , cram more in stuff! They've been on vacation, to the beach and sand and water, to the horse barn, used for everything from groceries to a diaper bag to really heavy tools to book club to international mission trip supplies to dog food to a complete Birthday party in a bag. From baby showers to graduations to wedding rehearsal dinner decorations to a bag of surprises the new grand baby . (Obviously not the same bag at the same time! Ha!) These have been daily staples in our family for 40 years ,,, yes, the SAME bag! And the very first bag purchased is still used weekly and good as the day we bought it! A bit dirtier but strong, seams tight and just like new! No kidding! Really! Quality lasts! I give these bags as wedding gifts- they will last a lifetime though every stage!

bigger doesn't mean better, so the small size tote is good for grocery shopping, laundry, gym stuff, etc.

Absolutely love my bag. The color is amazing and so durable. I have ordered this type of bag in the past over 10 years ago! That is how long they last. The free monogramming made the bag personal and I love it!

First time to purchase from LL Bean and I am all the way from the Philippines. I am so happy with this tote and it so sturdy and can fit my laptop and other stuff. It is really a pack and go bag. I had my tote personalized as well and I am looking forward for purchasing the long handle next.

Ever since i was a young girl growing up in Maine I remember seeing the Boat & Tote. At picnics, at the beach, dutifully waiting in my parents trunk should we need it and yes, on a boat. Now that I'm an adult going on picnics, beach trips, boats and just needing a little extra room to carry things, I new I had to get myself a Boat & Tote. When I went to purchase i was delighted to find something I'd never seen! Long handles! Since I'm often juggling many things I love to have a bag that lets me keep my hands free and the Boat & Tote does that! I've already taken it on many outings and it's even becoming my go to bag for a quick trip to the grocery store. My parents still have the big Bean bag that I remember from the trunk of their car and I'm excited knowing that I too will have this bag forever.

I received a monogrammed boat and tote for my bridal shower, 17 years ago, and am still using the same bag. The quality is amazing. Even with all the wear and tear of frequent use for 17 years it still looks brand new. My bag still looks and works as well as when I first received it. I use my bag as a pool/beach bag which means it gets almost daily use in the summer. The quality and enduring fashion statement of the boat and tote is undeniable. I have given many of these bags over the years as presents and know I will continue to do so as there is no equal.

I have one of these totes from about 15 years ago and it's every bit as sturdy and in as great of shape as when I got it. I recently bought two more totes as gifts. They are excellent quality and will last for years!

Not a review, I am sending request. I purchase these lovely totes for all baby showers I go to. I need that pink to come back, my first 2 grand daughter have the pink, my 3rd one, I had to order through Lands'end. Pink has to come back, please. And don't go away with that baby blue. Thank you.

As boaters, we always use boat bags to bring stuff back and forth. We have Bean bags as well as some others, and can unequivocally can say the Bean bags are the best. They continue to last year after year. When the others are ready for the trash, yours just hang in there. Clearly, a better product. Delivery, when many big companies take forever to ship, and you get the feeling it is by design, Bean's shipping is fast. I had my order in three days even with basic, free shipping. Glad to see LL Bean hasn't changed a bit.

I got the small tote with the long handle -- it's just perfect! Would looove to get this same item in all black if Bean brings back customized-color totes (HINT, HINT).

I wanted a tote that was large enough for my families beach towels and accessories. There was SO much space. Sturdy and won't fall over. The kids could quickly access the items inside the tote because of the open top. I purchased the XL tote with the long strap so I could easily carry on my shoulder. I plan to use this tote for moving things back into my classroom. A reliable, classic tote!

This tote will last for years... it is so well made and stylish... heavy canvas and strong handles.. You cannot go wrong with this bag... It is so versatile!

As always, so well made. I miss the little zippered pocket inside to put my keys.

My family always had these bags growing up, and the new ones we ordered are the same great quality as ours from 30 years ago. The only difference now is that there is an option for long handles, which makes them easier to throw over your shoulder. They are perfect for everyday use (and a huge improvement over using reusable grocery bags as totes), and the monograms look great.

This tote bag is the best I've ever owned. In the last 30-40 years I've probably purchased over 30 bags either for gifts or for my own use. They are so sturdy!! I bet they can easily carry and support 50 pounds or more. They stand up on their own, so you can easily pack them. Everyone I give the totes to loves them; and the monogram option makes them even more special.

A go to bag for our family!! Love them!!!
