Perfect for Christmas gift. Had name added, really came out great.

Best bags ever. I've owned several for upwards of 30 years and they are in mint condition. Bought this bag for our grown up daughter and her husband. FYI our daughter still has her large bag from early childhood still. So many uses!

Durable and great to schlep all of my work items in. It is my "grab and go" back.

I BOUGHT a BUNCH of these as gifts this year. They ALWAYS please. Can't wait to see everyones reaction on "boxing day" with their names on them and carefully selected color ways. I bought these for all my Irish Musician Group friends to haul their music. Got the long handles because you need to have your arms as free as possible to carry all your other gear. My Boat & Totes are a staple in my "wardrobe". I have washed my "extra large" a half dozen times now and use it almost every day. They soften over time but keep their strength! Hope they ALWAYS make this wonderful staple.

Very impressed with the quality of these totes. No doubt will last many years of lake abuse.

Heavy duty bag for sure. Use it every day to carry my lunch and a bunch of other stuff to work. Wash it in the washing machine all the time. Finally have a hole in the side. Not sure why. Looks just plain worn out. Don't blame it. lol

I can't have too many of these tote bags. I use some for grocery shopping. The handles never break no matter how heavy the groceries may be. In the past my bags have always broken & couldn't bear the weight. I also use for carrying towels to the beach. Carrying library books. Carrying my dog stuff too!

I just bought my gazillionth Boat and Tote. This one was part of a Christmas gift I am putting together. I had the bag embroidered with a short phrase that is appropriate for the gift and the person getting this gift. No need to use just a name or initials as long as you keep within the word length parameters. These bags are incredibly study and last almost forever. I do wish the color options would expand a bit...years ago there seemed to be more colors for the straps and trim. Mostly I just get the navy blue now. Although LLBean does not recommend machine washing and drying these (just spot cleaning which really does not get the bag clean enough!) I machine wash and dry mine all the time with no ill effect except that the material gets softer more quickly which is fine by me. I wash the bag(s) alone in the washing machine with regular detergent and either dry them outside in the sun in the summer or I put them in the dryer. Perfect! No color bleeding, just a very clean bag. I keep 3 of the large bags in the trunk of my car and use them for when I go to the supermarket or farmers market. I also use an extra large bag in my closet with folded sweatshirts in it. They are great for storage like this. Good not just for boating and toting but for lots of things in and around the house. I have another one hanging in the shed with smaller garden tools in it. The ideas are almost endless.

What's not to love with these classic carry all bags - strong - will last for ever

I've had this bag 6 yrs beer well made thick canvass like and again LL BEAN holds up to higher quality items I even have the lab slippers and long down coat 10yrs and like new too. Holds a lot NEVER loses shape either and seems to repel dirt I'm shocked yet happy

I bought the boat and tote originally to put patches on and I couldn't have imagined how much I would love the tote!!!!!

I bought these as gifts for my bridesmaids the day of my wedding. They were a great size and could be used to carry things the day of and into the future. I opted for the long handles which I think was the right move. The bag sits nicely on your shoulder. I love the fun stitching to personalize them as well.

I own over 50 of these totes (all sizes and colors, yes, I am addicted) so I can attest to their quality, simplicity, versatility, and durability. A tote for every use and occasion, I say! I recently bought totes to give to coworkers as Christmas gifts. You cannot go wrong with this great LLBean staple.
