I went with the long straps. I plan on buying one for everyone this Christmas. Just a great bag. It doesn't fall down; even the straps stand straight up unless tucked down.

I bought this as a gift for a friend and got it personalized. She loved it and I was very happy with it. My only issue is I wish they offered a wider color selection. These would make great gifts for sports mommas.

The bag is well made and durable. I had my girlfriends initials sewn on the bag for easy identification. She uses it whenever we travel by car for long trips or short ones. She even uses it on the golf course to carry her shoes and other golf items all in this one bag.

I had spinal surgery = ugh! I live in a 3 story house = lots of exercise. The small LLBean bag with the long handles is perfect for bringing things upstairs. I put it over my shoulder & carry my things.

Cute and not too small! The color looks a bit too dark for a navy color, though, if you want a blue, just go for the Regata blue instead!

Larger than I remembered and the canvas is stiffer. But that's part of having a new bag! My old one was in bad shape. I LOVE the olive green straps!

Perfect for laundry that I have to lug to the basement. We use these for laundry, taking towels etc to the lake house, storing bedding, and many other uses. I usually get the extra large long handled ones for ease of carrying over shoulder.

I needed to replace my work bag that had easily busted a seam. I knew LL Bean bag was going to be the winner! Exceptional quality and the long handles are perfect! The only negative, is there isn't an outside or inside pocket.

I have been using the extra large bags to carry powertools/ cables/ tools back and forth to jobsites for 30 years. I tell everyone about the 500LB capacity and a few guys have bought some of their own. Some have bought cheap imitations that just did not hold up. I try to buy a couple new bags every few years and I have quite a few of them now. I use them for everything: boat/ rv/ tools/ camping/ trips/ groceries. I still have my very first one. It may not look all that pretty anymore, but it does the job just fine... still will carry 500lbs. These are lifetime purchases; they will not wear out.
