I have gotten similar Trotters shoes over many years, and noticed that my recent two purchases, within the past year, of the same shoes I have gotten before (in stores) are a bit larger overall. They are not quite large enough to return, since I am concerned that the next size smaller might be too small; and return mail charges are somewhat concerning, so it didn't seem worth returning; this being one of the downsides of mail ordering things, but I can't find good Trotters selections in stores anymore. I have been a size 7.5 since 1978 (really!) and my feet have definitely not gotten SMALLER since then. I am still the same weight as I was in 1978 (Yea!), so my feet are pretty much the same. Previously, I have gotten size 7.5 for the last several Trotters loafer style shoes that I have gotten over the past many years, so not sure why the size would be different, except that you've probably changed your sizing a little bit. Perhaps that should be noted in the product details, that they are a "generous fit" now.

I have been buying this particular shoe for many years and I am happy that you continue to make it. They are comfortable and can be casual or on the dressy side. Comfort is my main purpose. These shoes just seem a little different than the last ones I purchased, which was about a year ago. i can still wear them....no slippage in the heel so that is good, They just seem to be alittle different than my last pair.

I've worn this style shoe (woven upper flat shoe) from Trotters for more than a decade. Unfortunately, Trotters seems to be having quality control issues when it comes to sizing. This shoe arrived in the size I've been ordering every year, and it was huge! Totally unworkable. Fortunately, returning it was simple. I hope Trotters resolves this issue soon, so we can all rely on the sizing again.

I buy a new pair of these shoes every time my current pair wears out. This pair doesn't feel like the leather I have purchased from an actual store, and they tend to slide off my foot. Still, I think I can make them work by putting an insert in to take up the extra room. Overall, they're okay.

Zappos told me this would fit true to size, not so. Easily half a size too small, but they don't have my size in the black so I can't be sure. Back they go, which is too bad because it's a darling shoe and appears well made.

I have had Liz shoes before and like this style. These shoes felt good, but I decided not to keep them because they were a bit dressier than I needed and the coloring a bit too bold.

This shoe is beautiful, and would be comfortable . . . if it fit. The Size 5 feels like it could be a 5.5 or 6. I want to love this shoe, and even tried to insert an insole to make it small enough that I could still wear a thin sock. Nope. I must sadly return this shoe, even though I tried everything to keep it.

Due to illness and surgery, my feet swell. Unfortunately, the only shoe I can wear is an old
leather Rockport loafer. I need to replace it but I will stop trying for a while. With COVID I shy away from stores and appreciate the service I receive from you.

This is a really cute shoe and I wish it would have worked for me but I have a very wide foot and a narrow ankle so it just did not work out. This is a very nice shoe and would have looked great with jeans and pants. Darn it!

The navy shoes are beautiful, but I had to put heel liners in so the backs wouldn't slide. The toes will need some breaking in as they are a little narrow for me, but I think they will be fine.

Casual elegance combined with comfort. A stylish design that doesn't sacrifice wearability. For the price, it is well constructed. Only 4 stars for comfort because it's not outstanding in arch support but this type of shoe never is. Only 4 stars overall again because it's not the quality of a Ferragamo shoe, but you are paying less than 1/2 the cost of one, so it's a very good value.

I have worn this style for many years and have several colors. I have always enjoyed wearing them as I have a narrow foot and heel. This pair I just received seems to be cheaply made and the sides were a little "caved in". I wonder how long they will last. I am not hard on my shoes, take good care of them and keep them in the box they came in with the molded paper in the toe section. They are expensive to me but I have to pay more for my narrow foot and can't just buy shoes anywhere. Sorry that Slim size doesn't come in more colors.
