Short in the toe box & snug everywhere else, which is why I almost sent them back. However, the heel is a great alternative to flats & it fits over bunions well so I decided to try them. They've stretched a bit & are now my most comfortable shoes. Good value.

They are quite nice shoes but they do not fit me. I ordered 8W and 8WW. Both slip down off my heels. Yet, they seem too narrow at the toes. I am between 7.5 and 8 normal or wide width depends on a brand. I have two pairs of Trotters shoes in wide width and they fit very well. Both pairs I bought some years ago from Zappos. Doris is just not for me. It seems that Trotters started to design and make shoes narrower.

Great low-heel shoe for all-day comfort. Soft leather makes for easy-wearing even on foot with a bunion. Slightly loose in the heel, but a small pad insert can counter this.

Casual, reasonably comfortable albeit nondescript shoe. Great when I need something a step up from ugly walkers, but when I don't need high fashion. I also wear them to and from events (I do a lot of walking in the city) as they are more comfortable than many high fashion shoes and fit nicely in my brief case/tote bag.

I have a narrow heel and this seems to be staying put.

I got them in black micro first (this is not leather), and had to return them, as they were extremely stiff! However, since I liked the style, I got a new pair in black soft kid, and they were much better. They still are a bit stiffer than I would like them to be, especially at the back. Also, the toe-box goes too far back, so when I step the edge cuts into the top of my foot a bit. I hope this will go away as I wear them in. They are very elegant looking and make my foot look small. The heel size is perfect for walking around. I actually prefer it to flats.

If you get the correct size these are perfect for those of us with bad knees and higher heels are no longer an option. I really need a half size larger--according to my recent athletic shoe purchase. I can wear them for short periods if I do not wear hosiery of any kind.

Liked them enough to buy a second pair. Comfortable. Good work shoe.

This shoe ordered for my mother, who has difficulty finding shoes for her narrow feet, and can't get out to shop anyway. Excellent service and convenience!

The shoes were nice and comfortable. However, the pair I received seemed to be a bit big. I had to return and am trying a half size down. Width was great.

These shoes would make cute shoes for work, unfortunately my arches are too high, and these shoes hurt my feet.

Shoe very narrow. Beautiful color but too narrow for me. Need to return and reorder.

Shoe definitely runs short - 13M fit like 12M in length. Too bad! If you have smaller feet, order larger!

Very comfy, soft leather. I wear them with my uniform and long days are not a problem. Just wish it didn't have that seam on the toe.

Comfortable shoes for work. True to size. I love them. One problem: The color seems to have faded on the sides after a couple of months.

Very nice looking shoes that can be dressed up or down. As for comfort, they\'re probably fine for most people. However, I have an exceptionally hard time finding comfortable shoes and even though I purchased a my regular size in a W, I can only wear them a few hours before one of them starts to pinch my foot.

Nice looking shoe, first of all. Fits pretty well. I am a hard fit at 11-1/2 (AA heel and B front with a high arch), so I never get anything that is perfect. Not many places do sizes as such--only the very expensive. My main success has been at Zappos.

I have hard to fit feet. I usually wear a 6.5m or 7m shoe. The European size 37 fits me best. I need more room in the toe area, but have narrow heels. I bought this shoe first in 7m which was too large. Then the 6.5m which was too tight. Then the 6.5w which is fine in the toes, but too loose in the heels. I put a thin innersole pad in and think they will be okay. I haven't worn them yet. I would like to know how this shoe compares in fit to the similar Ros Hommerson.

Construction problem - I bought the black patent version. The sole of the right shoe separated from the upper. The shoes had never been wet, and they had not seen much wear; the sole is hardly scuffed. Since I was on a trip outside of the US, the failure was quite inconvenient. I did not think of calling Zappos when I returned. This is the only pair of Trotters I have ever had a structural problem with, though. I rather depend on Trotters because they make shoes in narrow sizes.

Good looking. I really liked - I really liked these. Very comfortable except on days when my feet were slightly swollen. I take a 10 1/2 so I was pleased to find something I liked so much in my size, but disappointed other colors were not available at the time I ordered the black.

New shoes - I developed blisters in the first three hours of wearing them and I doubt that I will wear them again.

Trotters Doris - Wish this shoe would have come in EE. Looks nice, comfortable...except I need it a little wider please!!

Functional - These shoes look okay, but they are pretty comfortable. I have decided to keep them for work. I think that I will be able to stay on my feet all day in these shoes. The shoes look a little matronly to me, but they are good enough.
