These shoes are very comfortable because they are made of very soft non-durable materials. The midsole (the light colored material between the black outer sole and the white inner sole) feels as soft as a toddler foot ball. I had so much hope the rotation point would make these my ideal zumba shoes, but that is made of that same cheap soft material. Why do shoe designers sacrifice durability and quality just to make a soft shoe without no break-in time? I will continue hunting for zumba shoes. These are going back.

I wore this style before and loved them. When it came time to replace them, the tread on the new pair wore off within a week of wearing them. I had to buy a replacement pair before they would send me a refund. On the second pair the tread on the bottom started peeling off within a week again. I read other reviews of the tread coming off, but was determined I could get a pair that would last like my original pair. I purchased a new pair again (pair number 3), before I could get a refund on pair 2, and again, the tread wore off. I wore these shoes for dance aerobics and an indoor bootcamp. I am extremely disappointed because I loved my original pair.

I usually wear a 9 and both the 9 and 9.5 were too small. Also the wide width didn’t fit. I felt very unstable in the shoe. It’s like it didn’t go up high enough to provide any decent support. Returned them.

From a 7M I became and accepted that I am now a 7W. This particular 7W was narrow in the toe box.

I have been wearing walking/running shoes to Zumba and decided to give a dance fitness shoe a try. Some of the instructors have been saying that the walking/running shoes are actually dangerous to wear for Zumba because they are not made for pivoting or side to side motion. Makes sense. I have recently returned to exercise after a several year break. Back then, this type of fitness shoe didn't seem to be around or available. I wanted to like these shoes so much! But I don't. First off, it feels like the left shoe is higher up/more cushioned than the right shoe. I have high arches and there doesn't seem to be any arch support whatsoever, it feels very flat inside. And lastly, I feel completely unstable in these, as if I would roll my ankle. I will be returning these shoes.

I have a pair of Devotion Ryka's from several years ago and I LOVE them. The new model is flimsy, awkward, and lacks the cushioning that I need for my arthritis. I am trying to find a shoe to match the previous edition - I still wear them every day and I love them, but they are not going to last much longer. What happened Ryka???

I loved the comfort, however I wore them once and the squares peeled off. They came apart immediately. I purchased two pairs because of the comfort, however they peel apart. I do not recommend them at all. very disappointed. This was my fifth pair of Rykas and this one was an epic failure

Just not enough lateral support for my classes. I tend to need more lateral support even with stability inserts. Cute shoe but didn't work for me.

These sneakers are garbage or I got a bad pair. This is a follow up review. I purchased 12/22/17, and they are already falling apart. See photo, sole is coming apart. I have NEVER had a sneaker fall apart so quickly (approx 2.5 months) and for $80 I expect better quality. I wear these 2- 3 x’s a week indoors only doing an hour long workout (treadmill, rower, weights). In addition to the sole peeling apart, I had to add an insole for arch support, and the heel area is too big, my foot slips out doing planks, mountain climber, etc...unless I wear very thick socks and tie them so tight I end up with a mark across my foot. It was my first try with Ryka and I can say never again. On the plus side they are very light weight and cushy.

The toe box and and width of the shoe are too tight. My width is normal/medium in all other athletic shoes. Ryka Shoes had solid reviews for cross training, so I ordered two types, this and the Ryka Dominion. Both were too tight, so I am guessing it is the brand that is narrow.
I'd also recommend:
Brooks, Keen, Nike
