This shoe is exactly as advertised. Super comfy and durable. Bought them for long wears and lots of walking on Europe trip yet still have casual dress look. Might not need anything else!

Great looking shoe.

Great looking shoe that gets a lot of comments. The dual colored shoestrings set it off. I own 4 pair, two brown & two black.

Contemporary casual style - great with casual dress slacks, jeans, short. These are nice shoes - I bought 2 pair, one black, one brown. Very comfortable to wear all day. I get many compliments on these shoes while I am wearing them.

Stylish and comfortable right out of the box. Look great with jeans or slacks. One of the most comfortable J&M shoes I've ever purchased!

So this is my second pair of these shoes. They are wonderful, good fit, super comfortable and look great.

These are a great all around casual shoe to wear for the office or Out. They are super comfortable and the lining gives it a nice nug fit. I have these and 2 other colors they are so comfortable.

Went to several stores no one had these. Finally went to direct source Johnston Murphy online. Bought the Blue pair and Brown pair. Very comfortable and goes great with slacks or jeans. Already have the Black and Gray

I bought these shoes in blue, they look great and you can wear them either with jeans and polo in summer, of a button down shirt and a blazer in colder weather. In my case I bought them 9 since is the size I alway buy, however they run a bit small and were tight at the beginning, now is better but I'd recommend to buy half a number bigger.

Good looking shoe

Great looking shoes. Comfortable while wearing and walking whether a little or a lot of activity. Shoe sizes have the same size on the label, but the right is noticeably smaller than the left, needs improvement in size QA/QC.

I was surprised the XW fit my 4e foot. They don't dig into the back of my heel like lower cut shoes. They don't breath very well and run awfully hot. I assume it's because they're waterproof. They would be great for when it's colder. My feet feel warm just sitting in the office. I wear athletic socks with them so maybe a thinner sock would be better. The comfort is very good and you can probably get away with much thinner socks. I wish they had more styles and colors in XW that were similar. I will likely buy another pair as soon as they're available. Mine were missing the stripped laces, those look nice and they don't stock them or sell them. I only got the laces in the shoes. We'll see how they hold up but I wore them for the first time and for about 11 hours.

This is my second pair, love the style but the shoe is so tight it is uncomfortable. I wear size 8.5 have 15 pairs or more of Johnston Murphy so I know I ordered right size.

I have had many pairs of the XC4 Prentiss shoes. I like the style, choice of laces and light weight. My main problem with this very light color of Nubuck is that it marks up very fast, even after two coats of spray when new. All of these white soled shoes mark up at the toe and heels and I have found that Mr. Clean Majic Eraser does a good job of getting the grime off. I ware an 8.5 D and the 8.5 with the first liner removed is a perfect fit.

Read great reviews about this shoe and was super excited. Fits well and is very comfortable. Only problem is that within a week and a half the loop on the back of the shoe broke. These are "slip-ons" but are very difficult to get on without the loop. Not sure how I'm to get these on now without using a shoe horn every time. Some help would be appreciated.

My second pair. It's a great show. But unlike my first pair, this one has a foot bed you need to remove to get a wide fit. Didn't understand that and my feet hurt the first few days of wear. Ended up with blisters. Suggest you leave the bed out and the customer can insert if need be.

Difficult to put on

The shoe looks good but is very hard to get on , its more of a slip on, you need a shoehorn to get it on. I do not recommend this shoe. I have several Johnston and Murphy shoes and like all of them except this one.

My son and my husband both tried this shoe, and we not able to comfortably wear this shoes. There is a 'lip' in the back of the heel and rubs and scratches the back of the heel. My husband removed the insert and it felt better on the heel but then cushion comfort was gone. He wore them several hours around the house and just couldn't get them to feel comfortable. My son immediately removed them, after trying several pairs, so it wasn't just a 'one off' and said it hurt his heel. Otherwise, nice style and cushion comfort but unable to keep or comfortable wear due to the design of the heel.

So narrow I could not get my foot into the shoe. All my JM shoes are the same size, no problems.

I have bought these shows for years. Love them. Not my most recent purchase, but the one before, the shoes clearly had been returned and were missing the extra pair of shoelaces. The laces that are blue with a white stripe. I emailed customer service and never heard back. In the past Custober service has been spot on. Not this time. I feel ignored with no response. Would love to get the missing laces as those are the ones I utilize, the laces with the white stripe.
