I have searched far and wide for a walking shoe that looks nice, comes in my size (5.5) with a roomy toe box and narrow heel (I purchased these in W to accommodate my wider toes and they still fit my narrow heel). Most brands only offer W widths in starting with size 6, so I was delighted to find my 5.5 size in a W. I've had discouraging experiences with several other 'comfort' brands and when I found these my search was over! I wore them straight out of the box and walked a mile in them the day they arrived and they got more comfortable with each step. The arch support is good for my high arches, though I may swap in my own inserts for extra metatarsal support. The laces are high quality and easy to adjust and - unlike other shoe vendors that use the same length laces whether a shoe is size 5 or size 11 - these laces are the proper length for the shoe size. My only small gripe is with the color - I ordered the sage hoping it would be a bit more toward the greenish side but these are really more of a taupe and kinda beige-blah. I also notice that the Nubuck is already showing some wear - I spilled a drop of water on one toe and it seems to have set as a stain, so I'll need to invest in some cleaner for them. Last: I realize you all are aiming for neutral colors to meet the widest possible tastes, but I would personally love to see these in some more interesting and fashion-forward colors, like a dark red / oxblood or a true moss green or even some kind of funky pattern to accommodate those of us who are 'of a certain age' yet still want to have fun footwear and are embracing the 'fancy granny' aesthetic. But I'll take em in whatever colors they come in because the comfort and fit are truly perfect. Thanks for answering my shoe prayers, SAS, I'll look forward to purchasing more here in the future.

I've had two bones removed from my foot and this is the only shoe that even comes close to being comfortable for me. I've tried so many others but ALWAYS come back to this one. Like others on here, it's an old lady's shoe, well, I'm an old lady now, lol. Thank you SAS!

Comfortable, long-wearing, good for my feet, and looks good to wear daily. I alternate two pairs, black and brown.

Wonderfully comfortable out of the box. I have several pairs. But - one is denim nubuck and I just got a stain - I think from water but I'm not sure. How to clean them?

I have been purchasing and wearing these shoes for 20 years. I work 40 hours a week and do a lot of walking on cement floors. At the end of the workday the support and cushion keeps my feet from being sore and tired. They are the most comfortable shoe for all day wear. I HIGHLY recommend SAS shoes!

Need custom orthotics from podiatrist for extremely high arches these are the only shoes I can wear with no problems my orthotics fit well after removing original bed have been wearing free time for many years

I wear these everyday and I love the comfort. However, I would like to purchase new insoles for my old ones so I can use them for gardening.

The day I found these shoes I had walked to the car from my nursing job sobbing in pain. As an RN I was up and running for 12 hours at a time. I had tried several shoe brands but my feet were still hurting so much I really thought I was going to have to quit. I called my friend and she told me go to the SAS store. I walked out of there feeling like I was wearing pillows on my feet. I have only worn SAS shoes since then, and that was 25 years ago.

I can order the shoes in an extra wide width and therefore get the proper fit. If I'm standing for a few hours like at a museum, my feet do not get tired nor hurt at all. I've been wearing SAS shoes for over 30 years.

I have been wearing sas shoes for over 35 years. The shoe store we always purchased the shoes closed and we were upset. This is why I sent off to the fadtory, We have no othershoe store that sells sas shoes

I bought the Free Time in navy / 9 slim some ten* years ago; then SAS discontinued this width. Very disappointing! You can buy wide / extra wide in big box stores, but SAS is one of the few stores to sell narrows and slims. Bring back the Free Time in navy / 9 slim, please.

My shoe size is almost impossible to find locally. I have a job that requires me to stand prolonged periods of time. SAS shoes have rejuvenated feet. The quality and comfort of the shoes are amazing.

There is no shoe on the planet that is more comfortable than this shoe. I wish they would add more colors.

I have had many SAS shoes over the years because they carry my narrow size. These do not disappoint!

I bought these for an up coming trip where I'll be walking a lot. They are very comfortable. I'm able to put my insole in with no problem. They look good with jeans or my other pants. They fit well, true to size. I'm a 71/2 wide width.
