I have been a long time consumer of Asics. The last few pairs either blew out to padding at the ankles or blew out my ankles with blisters. While I have only had the shoes for a few days, my daily use of them leaves me blister free.

I'd give these a 4.5 if I could. I bought the Gel Kayano 27's when they came out late in June. I have them in white with blue and lavender accents. I really like the color although they do get dirty easily. They're much springier than the 26's and the fit is longer and slimmer which is good for my long narrow feet. Often a medium in ASICS is the same width as a narrow in other shoes like Brooks. The fit is pretty great and the bounce is terrific. My negative is that the white ones fit differently than the navy blue ones I bought in the same size. The navy ones are slightly shorter and wider. And they're harder as well. I got another pair of white, blue and lavender and those are close to the fit of my 2.5 month old Gel Kayanos but they're not as bouncy and the laces are really short compared to the originals. I wish ASICS was more consistent on size. That notwithstanding, they're very comfortable. I've been able to walk without an orthotic for the first time in several years. And they seem to be holding up okay.

I ordered these in my regular size (9 regular width) and in the 9 wide as well after reading reviews mentioning a narrow fit. The regular fit looked wide to me when I took it out of the box but iwas marked as 9 regular. They fit perfectly with the socks I typically wear. Oddly, the Wide size was shor and narrow for fit!! Maybe it was mis-marked, but was a surprise! I did notice the regular width was made in Inodnesia and the Wide in Viet Nam. Perhaps there is a (significan!) manufacturing difference. The wides were about 1/2 siz too short and fit much snugger on the forefoot. I'm, keeping the "regular". I love the Kayanos and have been wearing them through many iterations. It's always a crap shoot for fit. I like the colors and quality but it's anyone's guess how any shoe will fit. Thankful for Zappo's good returns policies.

I work 12 hours a day as an ER nurse.. thanks ASICS for the promotional discount!!! These shoes are worth the money! They provide great support and don't leave my feet sore the next day!! All my coworkers love the style and have bought some after I told them about the Healthcare promotion being offered! Thanks ASICS for taking care of Healthcare professionals and first responders!!!

Bought these to rotate in with my Brooks Adrenalines. So far, I've taken them on two shorter 3-4 mile runs and have been very happy with them. Will be taking them on a longer run this weekend and hoping they do well. I did order them in a wide width and they fit great. For reference, I'm a size 11 in Brooks and got a 11W in these.

Lovely trainer and good fit but there is a high part around ankles that catch my bone and therefore I had to return them. Always wear ASICS Fabulous trainers

I became enamored with Kayano’s many years ago after New Balance changed the style I wore regularly. As with previous versions of the Kayano’s, the 12s fit perfectly. I did notice the 27s seemed to fit a little snugger across the width... or maybe my feet just got fatter during the ‘Rona. Regardless, the unbeatable combination of GEL-Kayanos and the amazing customer service of Zappos, my local brick and mortar store didn’t get my money again this year. I tried to give them my money, but they didn’t have my size, again. Take my money Zappos!

My podiatrist recommended this shoe and I am very satisfied with the fit and comfort. Athletic shoes are not my first choice but my aging feet need a shoe like this and the shoe is nice looking and light weight. If you want to take care of your feet, I recommend this shoe.
